Wife and children want Messi to return to Barcelona

According to Goal , Messi's wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, wants to return to the place where her three sons were born and raised. Roccozzo has urged the Argentine superstar to return to Barcelona for the sake of his children, as one of Messi's children has had a hard time adapting to life in Paris.

Spanish media also reported that Messi had pre-registered his three sons to attend a school in Castelldefels, a town on the outskirts of Barcelona.

Messi's three sons, Thiago, Mateo and Ciro, will start the next school year in Barcelona from September 2023, the opening time of schools in Spain.

Previously, Lionel Messi asked Al-Hilal to postpone the transfer plan until 2024 and Jorge Messi confirmed that his son wanted to return to Barcelona.

The Catalan club are now leading the race to sign Messi as La Liga has approved a financial plan, including Barcelona's summer transfer proposals, to ensure Financial Fair Play compliance for Messi's return to Barcelona.

If he returns to his old home, the Argentine superstar will have to accept a salary much lower than the 500 million euro/year offer from Al-Hilal or the 50 million euro/year offer from Inter Miami. Sport reported that Barcelona could offer 25 million euro/year.
