According to Goal , Messi's wife, Antonela Roccozzo, wants to return to the place where her three sons were born and raised. Roccozzo has urged the Argentine superstar to return to Barcelona for the sake of his children, as one of Messi's sons has been struggling to adapt to life in Paris.
Spanish media also reported that Messi had already enrolled his three sons in a school in Castelldefels, a town on the outskirts of Barcelona.
Messi's three sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro, will begin their next school year in Barcelona in September 2023, which is also the start date for schools in Spain.

Previously, Lionel Messi had asked Al-Hilal to postpone the transfer plans until 2024, and Jorge Messi confirmed that his son wanted to return to Barcelona.
Currently, the Catalan club is leading the race to sign Messi, as La Liga organizers have approved Barcelona's financial plan, including their summer transfer proposals. This is to ensure compliance with Financial Fair Play regulations for Messi's return to Barcelona.
If he returns to his old club, the Argentine superstar will have to accept a much lower salary than Al-Hilal's offer of 500 million euros per year or Inter Miami's 50 million euros per year. Sport reports that Barcelona may offer 25 million euros per year.
