The Green Bay 58 ship capsizing incident:

According to reports from insurance companies, as of July 31st, the total amount of compensation and insurance payouts for the capsizing of the Vinh Xanh 58 vessel in Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) is expected to be 23.4 billion VND.

Specifically, for non-life insurance, the total expected compensation is 3.3 billion VND. Of this amount, the shipowner's civil liability insurance for passengers and crew accident insurance (Bao Long) are expected to be 1.2 billion VND.

The estimated compensation amount for passenger accident insurance (co-insured by Bao Viet Insurance with PTI, MIC, and BSH) is 1.1 billion VND. The estimated compensation amount for credit insurance (AAA) is 1 billion VND.

In the life insurance sector, the total amount of insurance payouts is expected to be VND 20.1 billion. This includes VND 1.2 billion from Bao Viet Life Insurance, VND 6.25 billion from Generali, VND 7.63 billion from Manulife, VND 0.72 billion from Dai-ichi, VND 0.23 billion from Prudential , VND 4.04 billion from AIA, and VND 0.08 billion from Shinhan.

Previously, the initial estimate for compensation and insurance payments for the capsizing of the Vinh Xanh 58 vessel was 14.27 billion VND.

On the afternoon of July 19th, the Green Bay 58 boat capsized in Ha Long Bay due to a storm. Following the accident, 39 bodies were recovered and handed over to their families, while 10 people miraculously survived.
