The festive atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd has spread throughout Hanoi and many other localities, creating a series of unique events that have attracted widespread public attention.

Hanoi : A series of spectacular events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.

The series of activities ranges from grand national concerts, traditional and modern art programs, national parades and marches to cultural exhibitions, creative spaces, experiential zones, talk shows, and entertainment activities for young people.

On September 1st and 2nd, the city will simultaneously host a series of large-scale art, culture, and entertainment events in many key areas, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere throughout the city.

The parade is expected to gather more than 40,000 people, including armed forces, civilians, and parade contingents from four guest countries, and will take place with national-level solemnity at Ba Dinh Square.

The event, a grand ceremony combining a festive atmosphere, music , and vibrant visuals, celebrates the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day. It will take place from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM on September 2nd at Ba Dinh Square and central streets (Hung Vuong, Hoang Dieu, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, etc.).

This feast of music, light, and modern technology recreates 80 years of the nation's glorious history, inspiring aspirations for sustainable development.

Directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and chaired by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre, in collaboration with major art units, the program is divided into three parts: The Path to Independence and Unification; Aspiration for the Fatherland; and My Homeland, Never Before So Beautiful . Over 300 artists, singers, and musicians will participate, including People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, My Tam, Tung Duong, Soobin Hoang Son, Den, Trong Tan, Pham Thu Ha, the Oplus group, the Ngu Cung band, the Dong Thoi Gian group, etc. The program will take place from 8 PM on September 1st at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi.

High-altitude artistic fireworks display

The program will be held from 9 PM to 9:15 PM at 5 key locations (Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, and My Dinh National Stadium).

Alongside the high-altitude fireworks display, audiences will enjoy spectacular, large-scale artistic programs combining music, dance, and modern performances, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The "Under the Golden Star" art program will take place at 8 PM on September 2nd at My Dinh National Stadium, organized by Thang Long Music and Dance Theatre in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports and the People's Committee of Tu Liem Ward.

The "Immortal Epic" art program will take place at 7:30 PM on September 2nd at the Lac Long Quan Flower Garden Stage, Tay Ho Ward, and is staged by the Hanoi Cheo Theatre in collaboration with various departments and the Tay Ho Ward People's Committee.

The art program "The Triumphal Song Resounds Forever, " organized by the Hanoi Drama Theatre in collaboration with other art units of the city, combines singing, dancing, music, and drama, and will take place at 7:30 PM on September 2nd at Van Quan Lake, Ha Dong Ward.

The Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025 exhibition showcases the essence of the capital city while creating an interactive, entertaining, and learning space. It is open free of charge from 9 AM to 10 PM from August 28th to September 5th at the East Courtyard, National Exhibition Center, Truong Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune.

The entertainment program, featuring performances, talk shows, and networking events for the gaming industry, was scripted and directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information) and the Department of Performing Arts. It took place on September 2nd at the square stage in Block A, National Exhibition Center.

Ho Chi Minh City : Live broadcast of an art program from three wards in Saigon, Binh Duong , and Vung Tau.

Ho Chi Minh City is organizing a special art program that will be broadcast live at 7:30 PM on September 2nd on HTV9 and other media platforms of the city. With the theme "Starlight of Independence," the event will take place on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street in Saigon; in Vung Tau, it will be held at Thuy Van Park Square (Tam Thang Monument Square); and in Binh Duong, it will be at the Central Park of the new city.

High-altitude fireworks display

On the evening of September 2nd, Ho Chi Minh City will hold a 15-minute fireworks display, from 9 PM to 9:15 PM, at three high-altitude fireworks locations: the area at the entrance to the Saigon River tunnel (An Khanh Ward), the New City Center (Binh Duong Ward), and the central square of Bai Sau Beach (Vung Tau Ward).

Additionally, there is a low-altitude fireworks display at Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi Ward).

National Day Book Fair

Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street is organizing a book fair to celebrate National Day on September 2nd, featuring thousands of new book titles. Cultural goods and souvenir stalls are also offering many special promotions and discounts, along with interactive corners and photo opportunities for young readers.

At Thu Duc Book Street (until September 7th), various activities are also continuously taking place: a book fair celebrating National Day on September 2nd; and a special "Young Sprouts" stage with an artistic performance program celebrating 80 years - "Proud of our land - culture accompanying the nation."

On this occasion, Phuong Nam Book Publishing House and the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House introduce to readers a Special Study on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, edited by Dr. Nguyen Nha. The book compiles foundational and meticulous research papers by many reputable scholars: Hoang Xuan Han, Thai Van Kiem, Vo Long Te, etc. Based on ancient Vietnamese and Western historical sources, the material analyzes toponymy and actual sovereignty enforcement activities, contributing to affirming historical truth and strengthening the legal basis in the struggle to protect the sacred maritime sovereignty of the Fatherland.

In addition to the recently released work "The August Revolution of 1945: The First Great Victory of the Vietnamese Nation in the 20th Century" by Professor, Doctor, and People's Teacher Trinh Nhu and Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Trong Tho, the Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House also contributed a collection of children's poems titled "Little Ones Love the Fatherland" (author Cao Mai Trang, illustrations by Nhat Anh Pham).

From August 29th to September 7th, the exhibition "We - The Journey of Two Artists Cao Thi Duoc and Nguyen The Hung" will be held at Chillala - House of Art (75 Xuan Thuy Street, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Hue City: Free admission to Hue's heritage sites on September 2nd, including the Imperial Citadel, Tu Duc Mausoleum, Khai Dinh Mausoleum, Minh Mang Mausoleum, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, An Dinh Palace, Hon Chen Palace, etc., for Vietnamese citizens. Can Tho organizes a motorcycle race to celebrate National Day on September 2nd.

The Can Tho City Museum is organizing a photo exhibition titled "80 Years - Can Tho Proudly Developing and Reaching Further," featuring a special exhibition of "Flowers of the Land" including ancient ceramic artifacts from Southern Vietnam such as Cay Mai ceramics (Saigon), Bien Hoa ceramics (Dong Nai), and Lai Thieu ceramics (Binh Duong).

Tay Ninh: Starting at 9 PM on September 2nd, Tay Ninh province will hold fireworks displays in Long An and Tan Ninh wards. Each location is expected to have 120 low-altitude fireworks displays lasting 15 minutes.

From August 30th to September 2nd, a unique "leaf market" takes place on the summit of Ba Den Mountain, featuring over 30 stalls selling local specialties and characteristic cuisine. Locals are given Bodhi leaves to use for exchanging and trading goods.

Ca Mau: At 9:30 PM on September 2nd, fireworks will be simultaneously launched at two locations: Phan Ngoc Hien Square (An Xuyen Ward) and Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu Ward). Also at Hung Vuong Square, lasting until September 5th, an exhibition themed "Love for the Sea and Islands of the Homeland" will display nearly 300 news and art photographs about Truong Sa, the DK1 platform, and the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.

An Giang: Low-altitude fireworks will be launched at 7 PM on September 2nd at Tran Quang Khai Square (Rach Gia Ward) and the old airport runway in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone.

Dong Thap: An artistic fireworks display will take place on the evening of September 2nd at Hung Vuong Square (Dao Thanh Ward), featuring approximately 120 low-altitude fireworks displays lasting 15 minutes.

RED RAIN HEADS TOWARDS 300 BILLION VND REVENUE MARK

Released in theaters on August 22nd, the film "Red Rain" has so far grossed over 250 billion VND and is aiming for the 300 billion VND mark.

"Red Rain," produced by the People's Army Film Studio, recreates the 81-day and 81-night battle at Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. Directed by Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen, the film features a main cast including Ha Anh, Do Nhat Hoang, Steven Nguyen, Le Hoang Long, Phuong Nam, and others.
