Revolutionary traditions foster aspirations for development.

Continuing the glorious tradition of their heroic homeland, the Party Committee and people of Mo Duc commune (Quang Ngai province) are always proud of their forefathers, united and working together to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.

In 2025, the total value of products in the commune is estimated to reach over 1,491 billion VND, an increase of 11.6% compared to 2024. The economic structure is shifting in the right direction, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture and rapidly increasing trade and services (accounting for 39.04%). The value of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector reached 427 billion VND, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year.

The entire commune currently has 6 large-scale model fields covering an area of 42.5 hectares, generating revenue of over 150 million VND/hectare/year. This is the result of the process of transforming the crop structure, boldly replacing less efficient crops with high-value cash crops. The average per capita income reaches 56 million VND/year, a figure that shows the steady progress of a rural area rich in tradition. Economic development is always linked to ensuring social welfare. By 2025, the commune will complete the construction and repair of 40 houses for poor and near-poor households, achieving 100% of the plan.

According to Nguyen Xuan Thai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Mo Duc commune, in 2026 the locality will continue to promote the application of science and technology , invest in technical infrastructure, and aim towards building a comprehensive digital government. Simultaneously, the strategy will focus on attracting investment into eco-tourism destinations such as Ho Vuc Stone Stream, Mo Stream, and rural tourism in Dong Ken, linked with the Thoa River service and the heritage banyan tree. Traditional festivals such as the harvest festival and the fish trap festival will be maintained and enhanced to create unique cultural spaces, connecting tradition with tourism development.

Mr. Pham Hong Thai (73 years old, Hamlet 2) happily shared: “The appearance of our homeland is increasingly changing and improving significantly. The road system has been concreted, making travel convenient, and schools, health stations, and cultural facilities have been built in a spacious and modern style, better meeting the needs of people for education, healthcare, and community life. As a result, both material and spiritual life have improved, and people have more confidence, pride, and attachment to their homeland.”

"Red addresses" foster pride and responsibility.

In early Spring 2026, at the Pham Van Dong Memorial Area, a large number of students and youth union members respectfully offered incense and pledged to study and train themselves to be worthy of the traditions of their homeland. Huynh Thi Ngoc Nhi, a student from Pham Van Dong High School, expressed her pride in studying at a school named after the Prime Minister and promised to strive to contribute to her homeland and country.

According to Cao Thi Kim Nhung, Secretary of the Youth Union of Mo Duc commune, educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions has always been a key task. The commune's Youth Union organizes many activities to connect with historical sites, attaches QR codes to introduce the Pham Van Dong Memorial Area, and cares for and preserves historical relics, thereby encouraging young people to strive for excellence in their studies and training.

That "red address" has become a living document, further nurturing love for the homeland in the younger generation. It has become a tradition for people to visit the Memorial Area during every holiday and Tet (Lunar New Year). The portrait of the Prime Minister, with his resolute face and bright eyes, serves as a reminder for everyone to maintain their faith in the revolutionary cause.

With 75 years of revolutionary activity, including 32 years as Prime Minister, Comrade Pham Van Dong made immense contributions to the country. But what remains deeply ingrained in the hearts of the people of his hometown is his simple and approachable lifestyle.

Ms. Bui Thi Tin, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the commune, shared that the pride of being born in Uncle Dong's hometown also comes with the responsibility of preserving and promoting the values he left behind. The Women's Union of the commune actively propagates and tells stories about Uncle Dong's exemplary life, promotes the "Excellent in national affairs, capable in household affairs" emulation movement, and contributes to building the homeland.

The spring colors in Mo Duc are brimming with vitality and hope.

From Mount Ấn - Trà River to the aspiration for greater heights.

Quang Ngai (the land of Mount An and Tra River), once a poor province when it was re-established in 1989 with a budget of only 76 million VND and a poverty rate of 47.4%, has gradually risen strongly. The Thach Nham irrigation project and the Dung Quat Economic Zone with the country's first oil refinery have become symbols of its aspiration for breakthrough.

By 2025, the province's GRDP will reach over 92,350 billion VND, a growth rate of 10.2% - the highest in 5 years; GRDP per capita will reach over 101.9 million VND; and the poverty rate will decrease to 1.86%. Thousands of temporary houses will be eliminated, and the material and spiritual lives of the people will continuously improve.

Traditional festivals are maintained and enhanced, creating unique cultural spaces and connecting tradition with tourism development.

In this flow of development, Mo Duc stands out as a bright spot, where tradition and modernity intertwine, and where revolutionary memories fuel the renewal process. It can be affirmed that the example of Comrade Pham Van Dong will forever be a guiding light and a great source of inspiration for cadres, Party members, and the people of Quang Ngai in general, and Mo Duc in particular.

From that historical foundation, our heroic homeland is steadily moving forward, writing glorious chapters in the new era, building a prosperous, civilized, and compassionate homeland, worthy of the trust of previous generations.

Central Committee member and Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Ho Van Nien, affirmed that Comrade Pham Van Dong – an outstanding leader of the Party and State, an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh – is a great source of pride for his homeland, Quang Ngai. His steadfast revolutionary life, noble character, simple lifestyle, and dedication to the nation and its people have, are, and will continue to profoundly influence the thoughts, feelings, and sense of responsibility of cadres, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ngai province.

“The example of Comrade Pham Van Dong has been and continues to inspire cadres, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ngai province to translate their pride into concrete actions in building and developing their homeland, as he advised during his last visit to his hometown (March 4, 1999): 'May the Party Committee and people of the province uphold the tradition of unwavering revolutionary solidarity, strive to advance one step each year, from an underdeveloped province to a moderately developed province and eventually become a relatively prosperous province in the country,'” emphasized Ho Van Nien, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.
