According to the forecast of the Lao Cai Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, tonight and tomorrow (May 2nd), localities in the province will be cloudy with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, and the highlands and mountainous areas will experience cold weather.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the influence of a low-pressure trough compressed by a continental high-pressure system in the North, combined with an upper-level wind convergence zone, the weather in localities throughout the province will be: Cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, southeasterly winds of level 2, and cold in high-altitude and mountainous areas.

The specific weather forecast for localities within the province is as follows:

Low hilly areas (including Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban districts and some low-lying communes in Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts) : Cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms; clouds decrease in the afternoon, sunny, southeast wind at level 2, temperature from 24 to 33 ^° C, average humidity above 75%.

High mountainous areas (including the districts of Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, and Si Ma Cai ) : Cloudy, with scattered rain, showers, and thunderstorms; light winds; cold at night and in the early morning; temperatures ranging from 18 to ²⁵ °C; average humidity above 80%.

Lao Cai City: Cloudy, with occasional rain, showers and thunderstorms during the night and early morning; clouds decrease in the afternoon, with sunny periods. Southeast wind at level 2, temperature from 24 to 33 ^° C, average humidity above 75%.

Sa Pa tourist area: Cloudy, with occasional rain, showers and thunderstorms, southeast wind at level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 16 to 21 ^° C, average humidity above 80%.

Bac Ha tourist area : Cloudy, with occasional rain, showers and thunderstorms, light wind, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 18 to 25 ^° C, average humidity above 80%.
