On the morning of December 26th, according to updated data from meteorological agencies, temperatures in many northern localities remained low. In Hanoi , the early morning temperature dropped to around 15 degrees Celsius, with cold, cloudy weather, and a forecast of gradually rising temperatures in the afternoon. In Sa Pa (Lao Cai province), early morning temperatures were generally 4-7 degrees Celsius, with severe cold and frost in some high mountainous areas. The Dong Van area (stone plateau, Tuyen Quang province) had temperatures of around 3-5 degrees Celsius in the morning.

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on December 26th and 27th, the northern and north-central regions of Vietnam will experience cold weather. Nights and early mornings will be cold, with intense cold in mountainous areas, and even frost in some places. There will be little rain during the day, with sunshine in the afternoon. High mountainous areas are at risk of ice and frost.
During this same period, central Vietnam from Quang Tri to Da Nang and parts of the Central Highlands and South Central Vietnam continued to experience heavy to very heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms. From December 27th, the rain gradually decreased but remained scattered.

The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting predicts that from the night of December 27, 2025 to January 4, 2026, the Northern and North Central regions will experience stable weather patterns with little rain and prolonged cold temperatures, especially during the night and morning from around December 29 to 30.
In Central and Southern Central Vietnam, rainfall gradually decreased after December 28th. In the northern part of this region, it was cold at night and in the morning due to the diffusion of cold air. In Southern Vietnam and the Central Highlands, it was sunny during the day, with localized thunderstorms in the evening and at night, but generally dry weather.
