The tomato garden is 'as beautiful as AI'.

Stepping through the gate of Ms. Thanh Xuan's house in Vu Phuc ward, Hung Yen province (formerly Thai Binh), many people are surprised by the dense clusters of tomatoes hanging down like bunches of red and yellow grapes.

In the right corner of the house is a trellis of Hellen octopus tomatoes, consisting of 6 plants covering an area of 12 square meters . The branches spread wide, hanging thousands of bright red tomatoes. Ms. Xuan said that each tomato weighs between 200 and 400 grams, and its smooth, glossy skin leads many to mistake it for a decorative plastic tomato. She estimates that this trellis has over 100 kg of tomatoes.

To the left of the house is a 25m² tomato trellis , a mix of yellow, chocolate, and red tomatoes. These tomato clusters have a sweet, refreshing taste and a natural aroma, making them perfect for eating raw. The trellis has over a dozen plants, estimated to yield 100 kg of fruit.

Under each trellis, the homeowner arranged additional decorative items in the style of Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), transforming the garden into an outdoor studio.

Ms. Xuan and her husband run a plant seedling business. Since mid-January, people who came to buy seedlings were attracted by the beautiful tomato plants and often asked to take pictures with them. "But the thousands of customers who have flocked here in the past few days were completely unexpected for my husband and me," Ms. Xuan shared.

Initially, she announced on her personal page that she would open her garden to visitors from the 4th day of Tet (Lunar New Year), but the garden was overwhelmed from the morning of the 2nd day. "I was in my hometown, and when I saw the camera footage, I saw a huge crowd of people flocking to the gate. I couldn't bear to let customers who had traveled a long distance go home empty-handed, so I returned immediately that afternoon," Ms. Xuan said.

Ms. Cao Dung, 48, from Hanoi , and her group of friends stayed in the garden for two hours to admire and take photos. "Stepping into this space feels so magical and perfect that I thought it was a product created by AI," Ms. Dung said.

With the garden bustling during the day, many people decide to visit in the evening. The trellises of red and yellow fruit seem to glow even brighter in the darkness.

By the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, the garden had welcomed approximately 2,000 visitors. Not only local residents, but also many groups from Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Cao Bang, and Lao Cai came to admire the two tomato trellises. A video that Ms. Xuan posted on her personal page attracted 10 million views in just 10 days.

Behind the "enviable" fruit trellis lies the five-year arduous journey of Ms. Xuan and her husband. Previously, she was an accountant, and her husband was a construction engineer. Their love of plants led them both to leave their office jobs and become farmers.

Despite having experience from previous harvests, she admitted that this year's tomato vines are the most beautiful thanks to meticulous care. In particular, the soil mixing process was carefully managed to provide sufficient nutrients to nourish hundreds of kilograms of fruit on each plant.

The most laborious step is pressing the branches close to the trellis and trimming away the old leaves to allow the fruit clusters to hang down.

"Every three days, my husband and I have to crane our necks to prune the leaves at night, when the tree is softest, so that the fruit is exposed and has the best space to grow," Ms. Xuan said.

Not only does she welcome guests, but the garden owner also doubles as a photographer because she knows best "which angles best showcase the garden's beauty."

Despite the overwhelming number of visitors, which sometimes left her exhausted and needing to rest indoors and drink energy drinks, Ms. Xuan still did not charge an entrance fee. "If people are happy, then I feel like I've already made a huge profit," she said.

Currently, even though the peak of the Lunar New Year season has passed, the garden still welcomes dozens of visitors every day.

In the future, Ms. Xuan plans to bring in more unique and exotic varieties such as striped tomatoes and purple-black tomatoes to make the space even more vibrant next year.
