Strive to become a better version of yourself every day.
Born with osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease), Doan Gia Khanh, a freshman in the 51st cohort of the Human Resource Management program at the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics, has had to use a wheelchair since childhood and constantly faces the risk of bone fractures. However, these difficulties have never discouraged Khanh; instead, they have become a driving force on his journey to achieve his dream of higher education.
Khanh shared: “I chose to study Human Resource Management because it's a field closely related to people. I hope that my four years of university will not only help me excel academically but also hone my soft skills and gain practical experience so that after graduation I can find a job that suits my circumstances. Being a student is a source of pride and motivation for me to strive harder; it also proves that no matter the circumstances, perseverance will open up great opportunities in the future.”
It is known that Khanh's journey to becoming a university student was a challenging and determined process. Due to limited physical activity, to prepare for the recent entrance exam, Khanh mainly studied at home, with family support in taking her to the exam, as well as the guidance of teachers and friends. Khanh hopes that her years at university will be an opportunity to develop herself, prepare for the future, and become a better version of herself every day.
