West Ham believe Nuno Espírito Santo needs to be replaced. |
In September, West Ham appointed Espirito Santo on a three-year contract to replace Graham Potter. At the time of his appointment, Santo, who had achieved outstanding success at Nottingham Forest the previous season, was seen as a player who could turn things around at London Stadium.
However, after a brief period of good form, West Ham have been playing poorly for the past two months. In their last seven Premier League matches, they have failed to win (losing four). West Ham's last victory came on November 8th.
With this dismal result, West Ham are in 18th place, five points behind Forest, who are in a safe position. West Ham are considering bringing Slaven Bilić back. The Croatian coach previously managed West Ham from 2015 to 2017, impressing with his personality and unique football philosophy.
The 57-year-old coach has yet to find a new club after leaving Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League in August 2024. If Espirito Santo is sacked, West Ham will have had four different managers in just one year. After Julen Lopetegui was dismissed in January, Graham Potter took over, but the English coach only lasted eight months.
