On the occasion of the first anniversary of the implementation of the two-tiered local government model, on June 19th, the Party Committee of Duc An commune organized a meeting with former key leaders of the old Dak Song district from various periods, along with leaders of Thuan Hanh, Dak Song, and Truong Xuan communes.

Duc An commune held a meeting with former leaders of Dak Song district (old) from various periods to commemorate the first anniversary of implementing the two-tiered local government model.

On June 21, 2001, Dak Song district was officially established. In 2025, in accordance with the policies of the Central Government and the province, Dak Song district will conclude its operational mission. The communes and towns belonging to Dak Song district will be reorganized and merged into four new administrative units: Duc An, Truong Xuan, Dak Song, and Thuan Hanh communes.

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of the Duc An Commune Party Committee, Tran Manh Hung, affirmed that after 25 years of construction and development, Dak Song has undergone significant transformation.

After a year of operating the two-tiered local government model, the communes of the former Dak Song district have gradually stabilized their organization and played a proactive role in managing, administering, and resolving socio -economic development tasks at the grassroots level. This is an important milestone in the process of reforming the administrative apparatus, aiming towards a streamlined, effective, and efficient administration that serves the people even better.
