This creates favorable conditions for socio -economic development in the commune, but it also harbors many potential risks of crime and social vices, affecting security and order in the area.
Over the past period, under the direct leadership and guidance of the Party Committee and the government, the efforts of officials and the people, and the close attention and guidance of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the "All People Protect National Security" movement in Pu Luong commune has developed and achieved certain results.
The Pù Luông commune police regularly coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws on building a national defense system and people's security posture. Through this, they raise public awareness, helping people identify and effectively combat the subversive plots and tactics of the enemy.

Thanks to effective security and order maintenance, in recent years there have been no incidents related to political security, rural security, social security, or situations involving foreign elements in the commune.
From the beginning of 2025 until now, the commune has welcomed more than 15,000 foreign visitors for sightseeing and accommodation, with no complex issues related to national security.
In July 2025 alone, accommodation establishments in the area welcomed over 5,500 domestic tourists, and inspections revealed no complex issues related to security and order.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Staff Department of the Provincial Police, delivered a speech at the event.
The commune police have instructed and required 63 existing accommodation establishments in the area to report guest registrations via the ASM software; ensuring that all guests are monitored and fully declared. A series of models such as: "Neighborhood Fire Prevention and Fighting Teams", "Public Fire Fighting Stations", "Safe Traffic Gates for Students Going to School", "Drug-Free Communes"; "Self-Managed Motorbike Taxis for Security and Order", "Security and Order Surveillance Cameras"... have been implemented synchronously and have proven effective in ensuring security and order in the area.
