A roof built with love and compassion.
The day her new house was completed was also the happiest day for Mrs. Doan Thi Vay (De Tru village) after many years living in a dilapidated house. From now on, the worry of leaks and drafts has given way to a spacious and sturdy home, allowing her to live a stable life with peace of mind.
Ms. Vay's house is one of the new "Great Solidarity" houses built with funding from the "For the Poor" Fund in 2026, with a support budget of 60 million VND. With that support, relatives and neighbors joined hands to contribute labor and resources to help her complete the new house.

According to Nguyen Van Dat, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune, each new house not only helps people stabilize their living situation but also creates motivation to improve their lives.
As part of the program to support disadvantaged households, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune - the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee of Thuan An commune - provided funding for the construction of 6 new solidarity houses, each costing 60 million VND (including 50 million VND from the city's "For the Poor" Fund and 10 million VND from the commune's "For the Poor" Fund); and also supported the repair of 2 houses with 30 million VND each.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dat, the Fatherland Front of the commune always identifies caring for vulnerable people as a key task, from mobilizing resources to build and repair solidarity houses to supporting policy beneficiary families, providing production materials, and offering medical examinations and treatment for disadvantaged cases, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.
Entrusting our complete faith
In addition to helping people settle down, the Fatherland Front of Thuan An commune also works alongside many households to develop their livelihoods.

The moment Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (Giao Tat village) received a mini-tractor worth 12 million VND moved many people. For a farming family, it is a valuable asset, a "foundation for their livelihood" to reduce labor, increase production efficiency, and gradually improve their income.
During the trial run of the machine on her family's own field, her hands were still clumsy, but her eyes shone with hope.
Along with livelihood support, the Fatherland Front of Thuan An commune presented 13 gifts to families suffering from serious illnesses, each worth 2.2 million VND. These gifts not only have material value but also serve as encouragement and strength for the families to overcome difficulties.

The results achieved in the first six months of 2026 demonstrate the effectiveness of the "For the Poor" Fund in Thuan An commune. From the fund carried over to 2025 (629.6 million VND) and an additional 25 million VND raised by mid-June, the locality has supported the construction of 5 new houses and the repair of 1 solidarity house with a total cost of 310 million VND; and distributed 175 gifts worth over 83.5 million VND to near-poor households, the elderly, people with disabilities, children, and other disadvantaged groups.
Behind the numbers are stories of compassion and the collective efforts of the entire political system, businesses, and the people. Each "Great Solidarity" house, each gift, or each means of production given provides further motivation for disadvantaged households to rise above their difficulties.
After a year of operating the two-tiered local government model, Thuan An is gradually building a sustainable social security network, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing. Through practical actions, the goal of "leaving no one behind" is gradually becoming a reality in the area.
