Learning from and following the examples of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations of Vinh Thanh commune (Chau Thanh district) have promoted the spirit of unity and strived to effectively achieve socio-economic development goals, sustainable poverty reduction, and improve the material and spiritual lives of the people.

The Party Committee of Vinh Thanh commune studies and follows the example of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang in caring for the lives of the people.

According to Doan Duc Dinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Thanh commune, identifying "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" as an important and regular task, the Standing Committee of the commune's Party Committee focuses on leading and directing Party committees and organizations to promptly and fully implement the resolutions and directives of the Party. In particular, this includes Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, ethics, and style; and Conclusion 21-KL/TW of the Central Committee of the Party (13th term) on strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling, and strictly handling cadres and Party members who have degenerated in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, and exhibiting "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". This will create consensus and unity of will and action among cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization, developing the economy and society, and maintaining national defense and security.

Based on the directives from the Provincial and District Party Committees, the Commune Party Committee proactively implemented the annual thematic study seriously. Party members registered to carry out projects and tasks emulating President Ho Chi Minh, with many specific and practical forms, suitable to the characteristics of the agency, unit, and work tasks. At the same time, they effectively promoted the role of the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations, promoting the dissemination and replication of good models, effective methods, and exemplary examples in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings to union members, association members, and the people. The study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings became a vibrant and widespread emulation movement in society. Through this, many advanced models and innovative approaches emerged in all areas of social life, which were replicated by local Party committees and authorities, such as: dialogue with the people, administrative reform, pooling capital to help each other develop the economy , building green fences and flagpoles; building bridges and roads; and installing streetlights to illuminate traffic routes.

With the attention of all levels and sectors, and the concerted efforts of the Party Committee, government, and people, Vinh Thanh commune became a model new rural commune in 2024. Leveraging its potential in agricultural production, the commune focused on promoting agricultural restructuring, contributing to economic growth. The commune actively promoted and encouraged farmers to compete in production and business, boldly applying scientific and technological advancements to production and increasing the value of agricultural products. The conversion of unproductive orchards and low-yield rice fields to vegetable and fruit cultivation was enthusiastically embraced by local farmers. As a result, many farmers boldly invested in and applied new scientific and technological advancements to production. “The movement of farmers competing to excel in production and business has undergone a qualitative transformation compared to the past, in terms of shifting the economic structure in rural areas. Farmers today are gradually reducing monoculture rice production and innovating their business thinking. With the available resources, they have become more adept at production and business, meeting the increasingly stringent demands of the market,” said Nguyen Van Minh, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Vinh Thanh commune.

With the motto "The people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, and the people benefit," the local Party committee and government have actively mobilized the people's strength to build solidarity houses for the poor, in conjunction with implementing sustainable poverty reduction programs and policies, the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement, and the new rural development program. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Thanh commune, To Dien, stated: "The Fatherland Front working committees in the hamlets always play a core role, working with member organizations to disseminate information and care for the people's lives through group activities, self-governing organizations, and meetings... Social welfare activities aimed at the poor and vulnerable groups in society are increasingly receiving support from society. This contributes to improving and enhancing the quality of life and increasing people's access to basic social services."

Secretary of the Vinh Thanh Commune Party Committee, Doan Duc Dinh, emphasized that in the coming period, the Commune Party Committee will focus on effectively and seriously organizing the dissemination, study, and implementation of Party resolutions, in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW and other patriotic emulation movements and campaigns. At the same time, it will continue to innovate and improve its working methods to consolidate and expand the great national unity. In addition, it will effectively implement social supervision and criticism; actively participate in contributing opinions to Party and government building; and promote the role of a bridge between the Party, government, and people in implementing local socio-economic development programs and goals, and improving people's lives.
