The last two matches of Group C of the 3rd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2025 THACO Cup ended tonight, March 9, thereby concluding the group stage with 18 intense matches.
The 8 excellent names that won tickets to the quarterfinals have also been revealed. They are Quy Nhon University (first in Group A), Ton Duc Thang University (second in Group A), Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports (first in Group B), Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism (second in Group B), Van Hien University (third in Group B), Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports (first in Group C), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (second in Group C) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (third in Group C).
Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports won the top spot in Group C with 7 points after 3 matches.
Accordingly, the attractive quarter-final pairs have been determined.
- 15:30 March 11 : Quy Nhon University team meets Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry team
- 17:45 March 11 : Danang University of Sports team meets Ton Duc Thang University team
- 15:30 March 12 : Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports team meets Van Hien University team
- 17:45 on March 12 : Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism team meets Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology team
Youth Student Football March 9: 8 names officially revealed for the quarterfinals
In the quarter-finals, the two teams will be determined after 80 minutes of regulation time. If the two teams are tied after 80 minutes, a penalty shootout will be used.
Last season, 2 out of 4 quarter-final matches had to be decided on penalties, namely the matches between Ton Duc Thang University and Nha Trang College of Technology, and the match between Van Hien University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports.
After the quarter-finals end, the four semi-finalists will rest for a day, then continue competing on March 14.
