Gasoline and diesel prices are both rising.

DNVN - From 3 PM on June 13th, the price of gasoline increased by nearly 170 to nearly 260 VND per liter. Prices for other types of fuel, except for mazut, also increased by nearly 220 to over 300 VND per liter.

In the price adjustment on June 13th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided not to allocate funds or use the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 III gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 169 VND/liter to 21,310 VND/liter, and RON 95 III gasoline increased by 258 VND/liter to a new price of 22,235 VND/liter.

While fuel oil prices were adjusted down by 396 VND/kg to 16,889 VND/kg, diesel and kerosene prices increased by 218 VND/liter and 302 VND/liter respectively, reaching new prices of 19,640 VND/liter and 19,859 VND/liter.

From 3 PM on June 13th, gasoline and diesel fuels, except for fuel oil, will all be adjusted upwards compared to current retail prices.

The decision to adjust gasoline and diesel prices this time was made in the context of the global oil market being affected from June 6-12 by factors such as: the US Energy Information Agency (EIA) raising its forecast for global oil demand growth in 2024, OPEC+ maintaining its forecast of increased oil demand in the second half of 2024, and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine… These factors caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down in recent days depending on the commodity, but the trend was mainly upward.

Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 13 times and decreased 10 times; while diesel prices have increased 11 times and decreased 12 times.
