The police in Đoan Hùng commune conducted rapid drug tests on individuals undergoing Methadone treatment.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Dai Luong, Deputy Head of the Doan Hung Commune Police, along with doing a good job of ensuring security and order, the unit has implemented social and professional crime prevention measures to limit and eliminate the causes and conditions that give rise to crime.
In the first six months of the year, the commune police organized more than 60 armed patrols, covering the entire area with nearly 200 officers and soldiers participating, focusing on peak hours and late nights. At the same time, the police force intensified monitoring of activities related to smuggling, commercial fraud, transporting prohibited goods, illegal land leveling, etc. As a result, political security and social order in the area were maintained.
With the synchronized implementation of security and order measures, the Doan Hung Commune Police quickly clarified and handled cases at the grassroots level. As a result, in the first six months of the year, the unit investigated and clarified 5 cases involving 6 offenders, achieving a 100% investigation and case resolution rate.
In the economic and environmental fields, the commune police discovered and advised the commune People's Committee to impose administrative penalties on 7 cases with a total fine of 150 million VND. For example, on May 19th, the Đoan Hùng commune police advised the commune People's Committee to impose an administrative penalty of 65 million VND on Bảo Gia Lợi Phú Thọ Co., Ltd., managed by Ms. Phạm Thị Duyên, for operating without a valid environmental permit.
Along with ensuring security and order, maintaining the "drug-free commune" model is identified by the commune police as a key task. In particular, the management and monitoring of individuals under supervision for illegal drug use are carried out rigorously to prevent relapse and limit the risk of future violations of the law.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Dai Luong, there are currently 14 individuals in Doan Hung commune participating in the methadone-based opioid addiction treatment program. To assess the effectiveness of the treatment and monitor compliance, the commune police conduct monthly rapid drug tests as per regulations. The results show that all participants complied well with the requirements of the authorities, cooperated during the testing process, and no cases tested positive for drugs.

The police in Đoan Hùng commune are checking and guiding the declaration of temporary residence and notification of stay at accommodation establishments in the area.
In the first six months of the year, no drug-related incidents occurred in Doan Hung commune. This is a positive sign, reflecting the efforts of those undergoing treatment to maintain their rehabilitation process, and affirming the initial effectiveness of management, support, and supervision work in the locality.
Thanks to the decisive involvement of the police force, the close coordination of all levels and sectors, and the law-abiding awareness of the people, the security and order situation in Doan Hung commune continues to be maintained. The achievements not only contribute to the effective prevention and fight against various types of crime and social evils, but also create an important foundation for successfully building a "drug-free commune" model, aiming towards the goal of building a safe, stable, and sustainably developing area.
