Passenger bus on fire on highway

(PLVN) - While traveling on the Mai Son - National Highway 45, a 45-seat passenger bus suddenly caught fire and burned fiercely, leaving only its frame in the scorching heat.

According to initial information, the passenger bus fire occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on June 2, on the Mai Son - National Highway 45 highway, through Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province.

At that time, the passenger bus (45-seat sleeper bus) with Nghe An license plate was traveling from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi . When it reached Km307 + 400 (near the intersection of Ha Linh town, Ha Trung district), a fire was suddenly discovered near the rear of the vehicle.

Due to the hot weather, the fire quickly spread and engulfed the entire car. Fortunately, the car was able to pull over to the side of the road and all passengers got out safely.

Immediately after receiving the news, Center 114, Fire Prevention and Fighting - Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 3 to dispatch 1 fire truck with officers and soldiers to the scene.

Fortunately there were no casualties, however the passenger car was almost burned down.
