The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have a high-end camera system.

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra on February 27th, featuring a powerful camera system, through promotional posters. In various markets, the device will compete with other high-end Ultra-branded phones such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Vivo X200 Ultra, and Oppo Find X8 Ultra.

Accordingly, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a new "Leica Ultra-Pure optical system," designed to enhance image clarity and light absorption.

This phone will feature a new 1-inch main sensor along with a high-quality 200MP periscope telephoto lens, both designed to improve image clarity and dynamic range. Xiaomi claims this combination will set a new benchmark for its Ultra line.

The second poster highlights the 200MP periscope lens, offering advanced light-gathering capabilities and a 9.4mm aperture. The sensor supports ultra-high resolution, a 100mm focal length, and an f/2.6 aperture. Additionally, it supports lossless zoom at 200mm and 400mm, promising an excellent photography experience for users.

The device is expected to use a Samsung HP9 sensor to replace the 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto camera found on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Previously, leaker Dighital Chat Station also revealed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have two telephoto cameras. One camera has a Sony IMX858 sensor—the same one found on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra—using an f/1.8 aperture lens with a 1/2.51 sensor size and a focal length of 70mm. The other telephoto camera uses a 200MP sensor with 4.3x optical zoom support, a focal length of 100mm, and an f/2.6 aperture.

The remaining cameras on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra include a 50MP main sensor with a 23mm focal length and f/1.6 aperture, as well as a 50MP ultrawide camera.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will most likely feature a high-end LTPO OLED panel, measuring 6.73 inches with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels.

The device is dust and water resistant (IP68+IP69) and features wireless charging. According to sources, the battery capacity will range from 5,450 mAh to 5,800 mAh.
