According to economic experts, Germany is a potential market for the Vietnamese coffee industry. In recent years, Germany's coffee import turnover from Vietnam has always remained stable, accounting for 18 to 25% of Germany's total coffee import volume. Not to mention, German people use coffee every day, with 72.7% drinking at home, 7.9% at work, 5.2% at friends' and relatives' homes... Each German consumes 169 liters of coffee/year, more than German beer (90 liters/year).

Specifically analyzing the potential for exporting Vietnamese goods to Germany, the Vietnam Trade Office in Germany said that the opportunity to bring Vietnamese goods to Germany is still high. German consumers are willing to use good quality products at competitive prices from developing countries.

In addition, the number of Asians in general and Vietnamese in particular living, working and studying in Germany has increased in recent years. This group of consumers tends to use more Asian products, including Vietnamese products.

German consumers are also increasingly open to using Asian products in general and from Vietnam in particular. They are willing to use imported products from developing countries if the products have clear origin, good quality and competitive prices. Meanwhile, Vietnam has many strong products that German consumers have high demand for or are increasing demand for such as: wooden furniture, garments, footwear, coffee, tropical fruits and vegetables, etc., ” informed the Vietnam Trade Office in Germany.
