Cho Moi Commune was established by merging Cho Moi Town and the two communes of Kien An and Kien Thanh. During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of Cho Moi Commune focused on innovating leadership and guidance in implementing political tasks, creating significant changes in awareness and action. Resolution targets were implemented synchronously and effectively. In particular, the agricultural sector shifted strongly towards the application of high technology, linking production with the market. Many of the commune's OCOP products have established their brands. Farmers effectively shifted their crop structure from rice to vegetables and fruit trees, increasing the land rotation rate to 4.6 cycles/year, an increase of 0.2 cycles compared to 2020.
The New Rural Development Program has been implemented vigorously in Cho Moi commune. Infrastructure such as transportation and electricity has received significant investment. Currently, 12 out of 16 schools in the commune meet national standards, achieving 75%. Total budget revenue reached nearly 203 billion VND. The locality mobilized over 2 billion VND to support 7,155 disadvantaged students; and completed the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total cost of over 1.5 billion VND, building 24 new houses and repairing 4 houses.

According to Huynh Thi Nguyet Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Cho Moi commune, during the past term, in addition to state budget support, the commune proactively mobilized over 93.8 billion VND from social contributions to invest in infrastructure construction and development. Many large projects were implemented, such as: Cho Moi Town Urban Area 1 (11.2ha); Cho Moi Town Urban Area 2 (10.31ha) by TNR Holdings Vietnam Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company; and the project to renovate and upgrade Cho Moi Park…
Currently, Cho Moi commune has over 2,900 households engaged in trade and services, providing regular employment for more than 5,000 workers. The system of markets, commercial centers, and convenience stores such as Co.opmart, Bach Hoa Xanh, and wholesale markets is thriving. Transportation, telecommunications, insurance, and cable television are also developing well. The rural market system has been upgraded and is effectively serving the needs of the local population and facilitating trade.
Industrial and handicraft activities in the commune have developed steadily, with 1,907 establishments and businesses. Social welfare work has been implemented comprehensively; vocational training, job placement, and labor export have achieved positive results, contributing to reducing the poverty rate to 1.12%.
The appearance of Cho Moi commune is constantly changing. Roads are being concreted and asphalted; solar-powered lights illuminate rural roads; and the environment is clean and beautiful. The fields of education , health, environment, culture, and sports are improving. The material and spiritual lives of the people are constantly improving. National defense and security are maintained; crime prevention, combating social evils, and traffic accidents are being strengthened, consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State.
Recognizing that "the people are the foundation," the Party Committee of the commune has focused on mass mobilization work. The team of officials and civil servants is built on the principle of "respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people, and being responsible to the people." Many effective models have been implemented, such as mobilizing nearly 42.3 billion VND through social contributions to effectively implement four projects on bridges, roads, housing, and green planting. Specifically, the commune has built 11 bridges, repaired 7,787 meters of roads; planted flowers and trees along more than 36.05 kilometers; and built 155 solidarity houses and charity houses. The Fund for the Poor has mobilized over 3.2 billion VND, supporting 6,741 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households.
According to the Party Committee of Cho Moi Commune, the commune has a strategically important location on the Tien River and Nam Vam Nao River, serving as a gateway connecting trade, expanding regional linkages, and promoting socio -economic development. With a diverse economy and dynamic trade and service sector, the infrastructure after the merger has been invested in comprehensively, creating a new, modern, and sustainable development space. Its rich history, revolutionary traditions, and abundant cultural heritage are immense spiritual resources, fostering resilience, inspiring pride, and inspiring the aspirations of the entire Party Committee and people of the commune.
