Yamal has just been dropped from the Spanish Football Federation for self-treating an injury by undergoing an "invasive procedure using radio waves." In the program La Pizarra de Quintana , experts Pablo Parra, Alberto Bueno, and former goalkeeper Santi Canizares had a lively discussion about how both sides should handle this case.
Pablo Parra emphasized the importance of "protecting the development of young players," while expert Alberto Bueno argued that all parties need to put the players' best interests first.
"Everyone wants what's best for Lamine. If this treatment helps him reach his peak performance, that's the most important thing," Bueno stated.
However, the expert also warned: "The worrying thing is that this tension could spread to other situations, between clubs and national teams."

Conversely, former goalkeeper Canizares expressed his frustration with how Barcelona handled the issue. He questioned: "It may be true that Lamine needed 10-15 days to recover, but was it really necessary to hide it and turn it into a debate?"
The former Real Madrid goalkeeper recalled: "Since the time of Johan Cruyff, Barcelona has always tried to minimize the number of times their players are called up to the national team. I witnessed that when I was playing. The club wanted to protect the players from the demanding schedule, while the national team wanted them to integrate into the team's playing style."
Yamal was forced to leave the Spanish national team to rest and recover from a groin injury – a problem he had been suffering from for months. A sports doctor revealed: "This is a difficult injury to treat, causing pain and limiting movement and shooting ability by up to 50%."
