Lyon traveled to face PSG in inconsistent form, having only ended a nine-match winless streak in the previous round. However, the visitors started confidently. In the 6th minute, Endrick capitalized on a pass from Afonso Moreira to coolly finish, opening the scoring.
Just 12 minutes later, the Brazilian talent continued to impress with a sublime through pass, helping Moreira double the visitors' lead and completely stunning the PSG defense.
The home team had a chance to reduce the deficit in the 30th minute when they were awarded a penalty after Ainsley Maitland-Niles fouled Lucas Hernandez. However, Goncalo Ramos's shot was predictable and failed to beat goalkeeper Dominik Greif.
PSG faced further difficulties when Vitinha had to leave the field due to injury before halftime. Meanwhile, Lyon played solidly and nearly extended their lead to 3-0 if not for a superb save by goalkeeper Matvey Safonov after a beautiful shot from Abner Vinicius.

In the second half, coach Luis Enrique was forced to bring on a number of key players such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Lee Kang-in in an attempt to find an equalizer. However, against Lyon's disciplined defense, PSG struggled to create clear-cut chances.
It wasn't until injury time that Kvaratskhelia scored a consolation goal for the home team, but that wasn't enough to avoid a 1-2 defeat.
The result leaves PSG just one point ahead of second-placed Lens, although they still have a game in hand. Meanwhile, Lyon moved up to fourth place, behind Lille on goal difference, thus keeping alive their hopes of securing a Champions League spot next season.
With Endrick's impressive form, Paulo Fonseca's team has every reason to dream of a top-three finish as the season enters its decisive phase.
