28 YEARS OF PRIDE AND RESPECT

BBK - (Letter from Comrade Hoang Duy Chinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, to cadres, Party members and people of Bac Kan before the merger of the two provinces of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen).

Comrades Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Hoang Duy Chinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and Phuong Thi Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and encouraged the Editorial Board and reporters of Bac Kan Newspaper.

Dear comrades, fellow citizens, and people of all ethnic groups in the province! On June 12, 2025, the 15th National Assembly, 9th Session, passed Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 on the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units. This moment marks a turning point in the leadership, management, and governance of the country, with the goal of building a political system and public administration with a streamlined, effective, and efficient apparatus that serves the people. In this historic moment, let us together recall the glorious and proud journey of the Party Committee and people of Bac Kan province before officially merging with Thai Nguyen province to form the new Thai Nguyen province, opening a new path of development with higher expectations and greater aspirations.

Over 28 years of development and growth, the Party Committee and people of Bac Kan province have affirmed their resilience and high determination, overcoming difficulties and striving forward. In the past 28 years, we have achieved proud accomplishments: Agriculture has been restructured towards commodity production; industry and services have developed remarkably; infrastructure has been invested in comprehensively, and the people's lives have improved significantly. Culture, education, health, and social welfare have all undergone considerable transformation. In particular, the cultural identity and spirit of solidarity of the people of Bac Kan remain a valuable, enduring, and profound intrinsic resource. We are proud to be a revolutionary homeland, wholeheartedly loyal to the Party. This revolutionary land has been changing day by day, facing countless difficulties and challenges, but also full of aspirations and boldness, with cadres and people who dare to think, dare to act, and constantly dedicate themselves to the common cause. All of this has created a Bac Kan province that is resilient, intelligent, and humane. The policy of merging provincial-level administrative units, streamlining the political system, and establishing a two-tiered local government is a historically strategic step for our country. Merging provinces is not the end, a mechanical addition of administrative units, but rather the beginning of a new phase of development for these regions, with the expectation of forming larger economic , political, and cultural centers with higher competitiveness, better meeting the needs of sustainable development in the new era.

After July 1st, 2025, the name Bac Kan province will no longer appear on administrative maps, but in the hearts of every citizen, the cherished images of its roads, street corners, villages, offices, and the familiar faces of comrades, colleagues, and friends will remain forever. When these values, traditions, and noble aspirations are preserved, today's integration is an opportunity to spread, resonate, and enrich the identity, contributing to the building of a new, comprehensively developed, and strong Thai Nguyen province.

At this special moment, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the former provincial leaders from all periods – those who dedicated their lives to the cause of building the Party organization and developing our homeland of Bac Kan. Their wise guidance, moral example, and love for their homeland will always be a guiding light for present and future generations.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the officials, Party members, and people of the province – those who have persistently built every classroom, every house, every road, every bountiful harvest, and every glorious chapter in the history of our homeland.

We would like to express our special gratitude to the officials and employees who proactively arranged their work and left their positions ahead of schedule, contributing to creating favorable conditions for the reorganization of the administrative apparatus. We hope that these "pillars of wisdom," these exemplary figures for the greater good, even though they are no longer directly involved in the administrative apparatus, will continue to watch over, encourage, and support the work of the Party and government, and pass on their passion to the next generation, so that every step forward for the younger generation is imbued with the warmth, wisdom, and valuable experience of previous generations.

With a team of young cadres who will continue on the long road ahead, you represent the aspiration for innovation and are the direct force building the future for this land that is undergoing transformation. I hope you will cherish in your hearts gratitude for the past, love for the present, and responsibility for the future. The country needs your dedication, creativity, courage, and commitment. No one else but today's young generation will continue to write the glorious history of our homeland in its new form.

We are about to leave behind the name of a provincial administrative unit, but we will never leave behind an ideal. The name Bac Kan province may fade into history, but the journey of development and contribution of the people born and raised in this beloved land, or who have been connected to it, will never cease. On this new path, we will continue to walk together, carrying with us the spirit of unity, wisdom, and courage to create new miracles.

A new journey awaits. Let us walk with faith, pride, and a great sense of responsibility, because our homeland is now our country, the place where we are always committed to dedicating ourselves and making sacrifices to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
