As one of the delegates invited to attend the Announcement Ceremony at the Na Ri Commune bridge point (former Yen Lac town), Mr. Hoang Van Nhan, former officer of the Inspection Committee of the Na Ri District Party Committee (formerly) could not hide his excitement. For Mr. Nhan, this historic event is not only a revolution in the apparatus but also brings hope for a better future for his homeland and country.
Na Ri commune was established on the basis of merging Son Thanh commune, Kim Lu commune and Yen Lac town (old Na Ri) with a total natural area of 112.73km2 , population of 11,494 people, office located in Yen Lac town (old). After successfully testing the new administrative apparatus (June 17), Na Ri commune leaders urgently deployed tasks according to the set schedule.
“Each task assigned to the staff aims to make the commune’s apparatus operate smoothly and without interruption from the beginning of July. Focusing on eliminating temporary houses, disbursing capital for national target programs, implementing the winter-spring crop... are the areas of work that the commune has determined to focus on when the apparatus is stable,” said Comrade Nong Van Nguyen, Secretary of the Na Ri Commune Party Committee.
After the merger, the distance from her house in Son Thanh commune (old) to the new commune center is nearly 20km, but for Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyen, it is not a problem. Ms. Nguyen said that she only has to go to the commune headquarters a couple of times a year, and many administrative procedures can be resolved online. Ms. Nguyen hopes that after the merger of the commune and province, there will be some factories and construction companies in the locality so that her son can return to work as a worker near home.
Mr. Ly Van Kien, Hiep Luc village, Na Ri commune expressed his wish: For the people, the merger of administrative units will not affect their lives much. What we hope after this major change in organizational structure will help people benefit more from policies. Rural infrastructure will be more synchronized, models and projects will continue to be deployed to each village and each family.
The operation of the new administrative apparatus will have certain difficulties, but with the spirit of solidarity, consensus and trust of the people, it will be the strength for the Party Committee, government and people of Na Ri commune in particular and many other localities of Thai Nguyen province to enter a new stage of development./.
