From July 1st, 2025, Bac Kan province and Thai Nguyen province will merge to form the new Thai Nguyen province. The press agencies of the two provinces will merge into the "Thai Nguyen Newspaper and Radio & Television" agency. Bac Kan Newspaper has completed its mission and is entering a new phase.
