Immediately after the launching ceremony of the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in Binh Son commune, officers and members of the Youth Union of Battalion 4, the Youth Union of Regiment 10, Division 4, along with local youth union members, divided into groups to clear bushes, collect garbage, plant trees, and beautify rural roads. While not grand undertakings, these concrete actions contributed to cleaner roads, greener trees, and a stronger bond between the military and the people. This is also how the youth of Division 4 concretized the "Three Pioneers for Victory" movement, going beyond slogans and demonstrating actions linked to the duties of soldiers and their responsibility to the community.
According to Vu Huy Thang, Secretary of the Binh Son Commune Youth Union, the participation of officers and soldiers of the 4th Division always creates a positive ripple effect on the local youth movement. Not only do they contribute resources to youth projects, but the image of soldiers being close to the people, responsible, and disciplined also inspires local youth union members to actively participate in volunteer activities and contribute to building their homeland.
In recent years, in addition to successfully fulfilling the tasks of training, combat readiness, building a regular army, and instilling discipline, the youth of the 4th Division have gradually reformed their methods of youth union activities. The movement is implemented with the goal of building a team of cadres and union members who are highly skilled, possess strong character, master science and technology, innovate, and embrace digital transformation, becoming a vanguard force in building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern People's Army.
Major Danh Hoang Nhu, Assistant for Mass Mobilization Affairs, Political Department of the 4th Division, said that to make the movement more effective, the Youth Union organizations have reformed the content of political education and boldly applied technology to practical work. Many units have built "Digital Youth Union Branch" models, responded to the "Digital Popular Education" movement, popularized knowledge about artificial intelligence, and gradually built each Youth Union member into a "digital soldier," capable of mastering digital platforms and new equipment. At the same time, they are promoting the "Young Innovators" movement, encouraging Youth Union members to research, improve techniques, and apply science and technology to serve the unit's political tasks.
“That spirit of innovation has brought about many changes in the work of the Youth Union. The AI virtual assistant system has been applied to support lecture management, lesson plan compilation, and political education; many traditional songs of the unit have been created into karaoke videos linked to real-life activities; Zalo groups connecting the unit with the families of soldiers are regularly maintained, contributing to improving the effectiveness of management, education , and understanding the thoughts of the soldiers,” Major Danh Hoang Nhu shared.
Alongside the innovations within the barracks are activities focused on serving the people. From 2022 to the present, officers and members of the 4th Division have actively participated in helping people in Binh Son and Vinh Gia communes overcome the consequences of wildfires; assisting in harvesting rice to escape floods and other agricultural products; improving land and increasing production in acidic soil conditions; and participating in many social welfare activities in the area where they are stationed. The 4th Battalion's Youth Union branch signed an agreement with the Binh Giang Commune Youth Union to implement the "Adopted Child of the Youth Union" program, providing regular support to a disadvantaged but academically gifted student; and coordinating the implementation of activities to build rural infrastructure, express gratitude, care for policy beneficiary families, and engage in cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges. These activities help the military-civilian fraternal relationship program not only take place during peak periods but also become a long-term partnership.
According to Colonel Le Van Tam, Deputy Division Commander and Chief of Staff of the 4th Division, in recent years, the unit's youth have effectively played a pioneering role in training, combat readiness, building a regular army, instilling discipline, and fulfilling assigned tasks. Many innovative models and approaches linked to digital transformation, scientific research, and civilian affairs have affirmed the leading role of youth union members, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit.
To further enhance the effectiveness of the movement, the 4th Division organized a youth forum with the theme "Pioneering, Courageous, United, Creative, and Developing," creating a platform for officers and members to review achievements, exchange experiences, propose solutions to improve the quality of youth union work, and promote the pioneering role of young people in the new situation.
