4 districts have achieved the new rural development goals.

(Chinhphu.vn) - On June 13, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decisions of the Prime Minister recognizing four districts as having achieved the new rural development goals.

Specifically, in Decision No. 1144/QD-TTg and Decision No. 1146/QD-TTg respectively, the Prime Minister recognized Cam My district ( Dong Nai province) and Dai Tu district (Thai Nguyen province) as having achieved advanced new rural standards in 2024.

In Decision No. 1143/QD-TTg and Decision No. 1147/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognized Hong Ngu district ( Dong Thap province) and Phu Luong district (Thai Nguyen province) as having met the standards for new rural areas in 2024.

The Prime Minister has assigned the People's Committees of Dong Nai, Thai Nguyen, and Dong Thap provinces the responsibility to announce and reward according to regulations; and to direct the People's Committees of the four districts to continue maintaining and improving the quality of the criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in building new rural areas.

To date, 100% of communes in Cam My district (Dong Nai province) have achieved the new rural standard for the 2021-2025 period, with 12 out of 12 communes achieving the advanced new rural standard. The district also has 4 model new rural communes, 17 model residential areas, and Long Giao town has achieved the civilized urban standard. The economy of Cam My district is developing strongly, as evidenced by the average per capita income reaching 83 million VND per year and the average income from crop cultivation and aquaculture reaching 190 million VND/hectare.

Dai Tu District (Thai Nguyen Province) has 25 out of 25 communes meeting the new rural standards, including 16 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards and 2 communes meeting the model new rural standards; 100% of the towns meet the standards of civilized urban areas. The district was recognized by the Prime Minister as having achieved the new rural standards in 2023. In 2024, the average per capita income in the rural areas of the district reached 54.32 million VND/person/year.

Hong Ngu District (Dong Thap Province) has 9 out of 9 communes meeting the new rural standards, with Thuong Phuoc 1 commune achieving advanced new rural standards, the remaining communes continuing to maintain and improve the quality of criteria in new rural construction, and Long Thuan commune basically completing the criteria for advanced new rural commune. Hong Ngu has achieved 7 out of 9 criteria for a new rural district.

After 10 years of implementing the National Target Program for New Rural Development, all 12 communes in Phu Luong district (Thai Nguyen province) have now met the new rural development standards, including 3 communes that have achieved advanced new rural development standards and 2 communes that have achieved model new rural development standards. On average, each commune has met 19 new rural development criteria. The average per capita income in 2024 reached VND 55.65 million; the poverty and near-poverty rate decreased to 4.46%. The infrastructure and social systems have been planned, upgraded, and newly built, basically ensuring synchronization, modernity, and regional and inter-regional connectivity. To date, 100% of communes have paved or concrete roads to the commune center meeting standards; 94.8% of villages and hamlets have concreted alleyways; the internal agricultural road system has been basically hardened, ensuring convenient production and transportation...
