Nine pilot trainees from the 940th Regiment successfully completed solo flights.

The 940th Regiment has just successfully conducted a closed-loop solo flight training exercise on the Iak-130 aircraft for 9 military pilot trainees.

This is a significant milestone affirming the remarkable progress of the trainees on their journey to mastering the skies during the solo flight training session from May 27th to June 3rd at Tuy Hoa Airport (Phu Yen Ward).

Accordingly, in 2026, the flight training mission of Regiment 940 took place under high-intensity conditions, with many important tasks intertwined and facing certain difficulties. However, the Party Committee and the Command of the Regiment focused on leadership, proactively overcoming all difficulties to organize and manage flight operations in a tight and scientific manner, ensuring the completion of the training program and aiming for practical flight graduation for the trainees.

Leaders of the Air Force Officer School and Regiment 940 presented flowers to congratulate the students of Course 49 on their successful solo flight.

Thanks to the strict adherence to directives and regulations, especially the flight regulations and flight safety regulations, the preparation for the trainees was carried out thoroughly and comprehensively.

In particular, during the decisive solo flights, the 9 military pilot trainees of Course 49 demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility in each flight; accurately and skillfully performed the technical maneuvers; calmly and confidently handled in-flight situations, and successfully completed their solo flight missions.

The success of this solo flight training mission provides a solid foundation for the unit to continue deploying flight training and ensuring flight safety in the future.
