99% of voters in Ho Chi Minh City cast their ballots in the election.

(NLDO) - Ho Chi Minh City has 168 out of 168 localities achieving a voter turnout rate of over 95%, including 38 communes and wards with a 100% voter participation rate.

Regarding the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Ho Chi Minh City, the City Election Committee announced that as of 10 PM on March 15th , the total number of voters in the city was 9,516,127.

The total number of voters who cast their ballots reached 9,421,168. The voter turnout rate was 99%.

The polling stations closed the ballot boxes and declared the voting period over as scheduled. Simultaneously, they began counting and sealing unused ballots and ballots damaged by voters, and compiled a report on the use of ballots. The heads of the polling stations opened the main and auxiliary ballot boxes to conduct the vote counting as prescribed.

The Ho Chi Minh City Election Committee assessed that the weather across the city was very favorable for voters to cast their ballots, and security and order were stable. Key traffic routes were clear, with no congestion, ensuring voters could travel to polling stations safely.

Communication systems serving election reporting, such as Metronet, telephone, fax, and internet, have always been maintained stably without interruption.

All necessary material and technical conditions have been fully prepared, in accordance with regulations, and are well-suited for the organization of the election and the vote counting process.
