Warmth of camaraderie

In the joyful and warm atmosphere of the final months of the year, on the evening of December 24th, in Rach Dua Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, units of Brigade 171, Region 2 of the Navy, organized a birthday celebration for comrades whose birthdays fall in October, November, and December. Attending the celebration was Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Vu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Brigade.

Before attending the meaningful birthday celebration for their comrade, the officers and soldiers enjoyed cheerful and meaningful cultural performances together.

The organizers and officers and soldiers attending the birthday celebration together chanted the names of comrades born in October, November, and December so they could come forward to receive gifts.

Each comrade received a small gift from their unit commander, and together they blew out the candles, wishing each other the best. These warm feelings embodied the camaraderie and brotherhood, sacred emotions that only soldiers of Uncle Ho's army can truly understand.

On this birthday night, the organizers also created some surprises by directly connecting the comrades via phone so they could talk to their family members.

For the soldiers, these are probably unforgettable memories from their time in service. Sergeant Nguyen Dinh Viet, a soldier on Ship 15, shared: “For me, this feeling is very warm and touching. Everyone feels cared for, appreciated, and more connected, not only with the person being wished well but also with the surrounding group. Sincere wishes bring joy, provide motivation, and create a friendly, close atmosphere, making the birthday celebration more meaningful and memorable.”

Everyone cut the cake together, exchanged best wishes, and participated in fun and meaningful group games.

Today's comrades' birthday celebration is not only an opportunity to send the best wishes to those entering a new year of their lives, but also a chance to share warmth, strengthen camaraderie, and contribute to building an increasingly united and strong team.
