Eat cake left by guests

Regarding the case of 3 women being poisoned by marijuana in Thu Duc City, on December 9, Thu Duc City Police are still urgently clarifying the cause and searching for those involved to serve the investigation.

The three poisoned people were identified as Ms. Doan Thi Ph. (38 years old, residing in Thu Duc City), Ms. Phan Thi H. (43 years old, residing in Cu Chi District) and Ms. Phu Thi Kim H. (31 years old, residing in District 4, both in Ho Chi Minh City).

According to the police, all three worked as janitors. The incident occurred at a house of about 200 ^square meters in alley 189C Nguyen Van Huong (Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City). At the time of the incident, the house was rented by the owner to serve a group of guests organizing parties and events.

Specifically, on December 7, a group of guests rented a house, held a party and then left. At this time, the house manager hired 4 female cleaners to clean up. While cleaning, 3 of the 4 people saw a lot of leftover food and drinks on the table, including a type of cake that looked like a cookie, so they took it and ate it. After eating the cake, all 3 showed symptoms of drowsiness and lost the ability to interact, so they were taken to the emergency room.

From 1:10 pm to 1:40 pm on the same day (December 7), Le Van Thinh Hospital received the three female victims one after another. The victims' relatives also stated that 1 hour before the symptoms occurred, all three of them had eaten a type of cake that looked like a cookie, of unknown origin and unknown owner.

Doctors examined and tested the urine of all three people, and the results showed that all three people tested positive for marijuana. After emergency treatment, the patients continued to be treated at Le Van Thinh Hospital.

Thu Duc City Police coordinated with Thao Dien Ward Police to examine the scene of the house and discovered about 40 balloon shells, many foods, drinks and a type of cake that looked like cookies.

Police are continuing to investigate the case of 3 women drug poisoning in Thu Duc City.
