This winter season, the entire province planted over 14,960 hectares, including 7,362 hectares of corn, 1,245 hectares of sweet potatoes, 78 hectares of potatoes, 6,201 hectares of vegetables, and 74 hectares of various flowers. In addition to the planned planting area, local farmers have proactively cultivated an additional 2,200 hectares. Currently, farmers are urgently harvesting winter crops to accelerate the spring planting season. With its flat terrain and fertile soil, Vo Lao commune has over 400 hectares of land for winter crop cultivation, making it a key winter crop production area of the province, with corn and sweet potatoes being the two most widely grown crops. Farmers in Vo Lao commune are also urgently harvesting their winter corn crop to free up land for planting spring rice.

Farmers in Sa Pa ward are harvesting baby cauliflower during the winter season. This is a new crop with high economic value; at times, Sa Pa farmers sell baby cauliflower for as much as 70,000 VND/kg. Stonecrop sprouts, currently in harvest season, are also a characteristic winter crop product in Sa Pa ward. Farmers in Gia Phu commune are harvesting their winter cabbage crop.
