This year, the Ninh Binh province tourism industry has created a giant folk painting of Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet (Carp Watching the Moon) on the rice field to attract tourists . Between the two fish is a lotus flower, with ripples below.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Phong, Executive Director of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area, said that to create the painting, farmers from Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, joined with experts to carefully calculate the time for planting, plotting, and shaping. Through the painting, local people pray for a year of peace, prosperity, favorable weather, and bountiful harvests.

Every day, Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area welcomes thousands of tourists rowing boats to see the ripe rice fields and explore the cave system.

Tourists flock to Tam Coc most on weekends. At times, the Ngo Dong River is packed with tourist boats.

Tam Coc fields have been honored as one of the five most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam. "We hope to make the Golden Color of Tam Coc a brand identity for Ninh Binh tourism," said Hoang Thanh Phong, CEO of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area.
About one kilometer from the Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet painting is Hang Mua - a famous check-in spot favored by young people. At the foot of the mountain, a large lotus flower is created in the field.

Around Tam Coc - Bich Dong area, there are many other golden rice fields interspersed with residential areas and tourist attractions.

Farmers in Hoa Lu are harvesting ripe rice in the Tam Coc valleys. The 2023 Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Tourism Week will take place until June 4 when the rice season ends.

A group of foreign tourists enjoy taking a boat to explore Tam Coc tour. "The scenery and space here are very impressive because of its wildness but no less majestic," said Antony, a tourist from Spain.

At the stops on the Tam Coc tour, the organizers arrange for traditional art troupes to perform for tourists free of charge.

Ninh Binh expects to welcome 100,000 visitors to Tam Coc in 2023 and about 400,000 visitors across the province during the tourism week.
