Apple has officially unveiled the new generation Mac Mini computer, featuring a more compact and powerful design, equipped with the latest M4 chip.
The Mac Mini is a desktop computer from Apple, notable for its incredibly compact design that saves installation space, while still meeting the needs of a full-fledged computer with powerful configuration and performance.
More than a year after launching the Mac Mini versions with M2 and M2 Pro chips in January 2023, Apple has just unveiled an upgraded Mac Mini, featuring the latest M4 and M4 Pro chip options.

The Mac Mini M4 comes with 16GB of RAM as a default configuration, setting a new standard for Apple's product line. The basic M4 version starts at $599, while the more powerful M4 Pro version costs from $1,399.
Apple has opened pre-orders and will officially release the product on November 8th.
A notable highlight of the new Mac Mini is its ultra-compact size, measuring 12.7cm wide and 5cm thick. It weighs only 0.67kg with the M4 chip option and 0.73kg with the M4 Pro chip option.
Apple states that the device is capable of efficient cooling thanks to a new heat dissipation structure on the M4 chip, which directs airflow to different components and expels it through a ventilation system at the base of the device.
The new Mac Mini also boasts upgraded connectivity with two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack on the front, while the rear features Ethernet, HDMI, and three USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. Notably, the USB-A ports have been removed, replaced by a Thunderbolt port, bringing the total number of ports to five.

The speed of these ports depends on the M4 chip version: the standard version comes with Thunderbolt 4, while the M4 Pro chip supports Thunderbolt 5 with higher speeds.
The Mac Mini M4 Pro delivers powerful performance with 14 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores. Users can configure up to 32GB of RAM with the standard M4 chip or 64GB with the M4 Pro chip, and storage capacity can reach up to 8TB.
Additionally, users can also opt for a 10-gigabit Ethernet network, offering flexibility for professionals and creative users who need a powerful device in a compact size.
Earlier, Apple hinted that this week would be "a busy week of announcements" and promised the launch of a new line of computers. After launching the iMac and Mac Mini using the M4 chip, the tech world and users are eagerly awaiting Apple's unveiling of the new MacBook and Mac Studio series with the M4 chip in the coming days.
