According to Engadget , Double Tap can help users handle some pre-installed operations by moving two fingertips (index finger and thumb) twice at the same time without having to touch the Apple smartwatch screen.
Double Tap is now available on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2
Suppose a user is wearing the Apple Watch on the left wrist, if he is holding something with his right hand but wants to answer (or end) a call or pause the content he is listening to, all he needs to do is tap his left thumb and index finger together twice.
Notably, Double Tap also follows the Assistive Touch (accessibility) feature that arrived on Apple Watch devices in 2021. Apple designed the feature to make it easier for people on the go to use their watches using hand gestures.
Currently, to update to the latest watchOS 10, users just need to open the iPhone, go to the Apple Watch app. Then, go to General > Software Update and perform the upgrade according to the instructions.
