
As rumored, Apple launched a series of new products over three consecutive days. These devices range from iPhones and MacBooks to external displays.
While the iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4, and MacBook Air M5 cater to the majority of mainstream users, the MacBook Pro line with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips targets users with higher demands, alongside the Studio Display and Studio Display XDR.
One of the most notable devices is the MacBook Neo. This model uses a chip borrowed from the iPhone and has a starting price of 16.5 million VND, making it Apple's most affordable laptop currently available. Below are details of the products the company introduced in recent days.
iPhone 17e
The affordable iPhone has been upgraded with several features. Priced at 18 million VND, the device now boasts double the base storage capacity, from 128 GB to 256 GB. It also supports MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging with a maximum power of 15 W.
The design of the iPhone 17e remains unchanged. The 6.1-inch screen features Ceramic Shield 2, which offers three times better scratch resistance than the previous generation and improved anti-glare capabilities, according to Apple.
The iPhone 17e also incorporates Apple's own C1X network modem. Compared to the C1 on the iPhone 16e, Apple claims the C1X offers twice the connection speed. This modem is also 30% more energy efficient than the one used in the iPhone 16 Pro.

In terms of hardware, the iPhone 17e is equipped with the A19 processor (3nm process). Compared to the A19 in the standard iPhone 17, this version reduces the graphics cores (GPU) to 4 instead of 5, while the CPU remains at 6 cores. The device comes pre-installed with iOS 26 and the Apple Intelligence suite.
Apple claims the iPhone 17e boasts a maximum battery life of 26 hours. The device is IP68 water and dust resistant, and features a 48MP rear camera with "Fusion" technology, allowing for 2x zoom while maintaining sharpness.
Apple emphasizes the subject recognition capabilities of the iPhone 17e camera. With the new Focus and Depth Control systems, users can adjust the background blur after shooting. The next-generation HDR algorithm improves skin tone reproduction, ensuring realistic colors.
This year, the iPhone 17e adds a light pink color option alongside white and black. Pre-orders began on March 4th, and the product went on sale on March 11th.
iPad Air M4
The M4 processor is the most significant improvement on the new iPad Air. Although it lags behind the M5 in the iPad Pro by a generation, the M4 chip is still powerful enough to handle tasks such as watching movies, browsing the web, reading emails, and basic video editing.
Compared to the M3 chip in its predecessor, the M4 offers 30% faster performance in multi-core CPU tasks. With 8 CPU cores and 9 GPU cores, Apple promises excellent graphics processing and gaming capabilities thanks to ray-tracing technology that is four times faster than the iPad Air M1.
Apple also upgraded the RAM on the iPad Air M4 from 8 GB to 12 GB. The device also features N1, a network chip developed by Apple for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread standards.

Thanks to the internal network chip, Apple says features like cellular broadcasting and AirDrop on the device are more efficient and stable. Performance when connecting to 5 GHz Wi-Fi is also improved.
With the 5G version, the iPad Air M4 integrates the C1X modem. Compared to the iPad Air M3, this modem offers 50% faster network performance and 30% more energy efficiency.
The design of the iPad Air M4 remains largely unchanged, still using a Liquid Retina display in two sizes: 11 or 13 inches. Apple has retained the 12 MP front camera, 12 MP rear camera, and two external speakers.
The 11-inch version of the iPad Air M4 starts at nearly 17 million VND for the Wi-Fi, 128GB storage option. The 13-inch model costs nearly 22 million VND for the same option. Available colors include blue, purple, starlight, and space gray.
MacBook Pro M5 Pro and M5 Max
Apple's flagship laptop line has been upgraded with the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. However, the price has also increased.
In Vietnam, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip starts at 45 million VND, 5 million VND more expensive than its predecessor, even though the company still offers a "deal" by increasing the hard drive capacity from 512 GB to 1 TB. The 16-inch version has a starting price that has increased from 65 million to 73 million VND.
The display panel on the new MacBook Pro remains unchanged, still using Liquid Retina XDR technology, with a 12MP webcam above it supporting Center Stage. The company has integrated the N1 chip to support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
Apple states that the M5 Pro and M5 Max are built on the new "Fusion Architecture," which combines two processor chips into a complete System-on-Chip (SoC), resulting in higher performance and greater energy efficiency.

Both chips feature CPUs with up to 18 cores, including 6 hyper-processing cores and 12 high-performance cores. The hyper-processing cores are optimized for professional workflows with high CPU usage, such as data analysis or simulation algorithms.
The GPU on the M5 Pro has been upgraded with up to 20 cores, and the new architecture integrates a Neural Accelerator in each core. The M5 Pro's GPU computing performance is four times higher than that of the M4 Pro.
For those demanding higher performance, the M5 Max combines an 18-core CPU with up to 40-core GPUs, double that of the M5 Pro. Utilizing a new GPU architecture, the M5 Max promises 15% higher multi-threaded performance than its predecessor, the M4 Max.
The M5 Pro supports up to 64 GB of unified storage, with bandwidth increased to 307 GB/s. Meanwhile, the M5 Max chip can be upgraded to 128 GB, with bandwidth reaching 614 GB/s. The SSD in the new MacBook Pro achieves read/write speeds of up to 14.5 GB/s, more than double that of the previous generation.
MacBook Air M5
A year after upgrading the MacBook Air with the M4 chip, Apple continues to release a new version using the M5 chip. The lowest-end version of the laptop now has a 512GB SSD, double that of its predecessor.
The standard MacBook Air M5 still comes with 16 GB of RAM. The company has upgraded the memory bandwidth to 153 GB/s, a 28% increase compared to the MacBook Air M4. The device also features the N1 chip and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
In terms of design, the MacBook Air M5 retains the slim, lightweight aluminum form factor and is fanless. It comes with two Liquid Retina display options: 13-inch and 15-inch, both with 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colors. Additionally, it's available in four color options: sky blue, dark blue, star blue, and silver.

The MacBook Air M5 features a 12MP Center Stage webcam, a high-quality microphone, and speakers with Spatial Audio support. Apple also highlighted the combination of new hardware and macOS Tahoe, along with Apple Intelligence, to better utilize AI tasks on the device.
Apple also had to compromise on price to make these upgrades. The 13-inch MacBook Air M5 starts at 30 million VND, an increase of 3 million VND compared to the previous generation. Similarly, the 15-inch model also increased in price from 32 million to 35 million VND.
MacBook Neo
Apple's laptop lineup continues to expand with the MacBook Neo. Starting at 16.5 million VND, this is Apple's cheapest MacBook currently available, demonstrating the company's latest effort to compete with the low-cost Windows laptop and Chromebook market.
As rumored, the MacBook Neo is equipped with the A18 Pro chip, first seen in the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. This chip boasts a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine, alongside 8 GB of RAM. This is sufficient to power Apple Intelligence features.
Apple emphasizes that the MacBook Neo's battery life can reach 16 hours on a single charge. The device features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colors. However, this 13-inch screen does not support the P3 color gamut or True Tone like other MacBook models.

In terms of connectivity, the MacBook Neo features two USB-C ports. One port supports the USB-3 standard, allowing for connection to external displays and high-speed data transfer (up to 10 Gbps), while the other only supports the USB-2 standard, with slower data transfer speeds (480 Mbps). The left side of the device also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, but it lacks MagSafe.
The MacBook Neo features a 1080p FaceTime webcam, a dual microphone system and speakers on either side, and supports Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Apple's cheapest laptop still uses the Magic Keyboard but lacks backlighting, a multi-touch trackpad, and Force Touch. If users want a fingerprint sensor on the keyboard, they have to pay an extra 2.5 million VND to upgrade to the 512GB version.
With the A18 Pro chip, Apple claims that the MacBook Neo's performance for most basic tasks is 50% higher than its "best-selling PC" using the Intel Core Ultra 5 chip. The device comes in four color options: silver, rose gold, gold, and indigo.
Studio Display and Studio Display XDR
In addition to iPhones and MacBooks, Apple also launched two accessories: the Studio Display monitor and an XDR version. The release of these two versions gives users more options depending on their budget and needs.
The Studio Display XDR features a 27-inch Retina XDR display with 5K resolution. It utilizes a Mini LED panel with 2,304 local-dimming zones to enhance contrast.
This monitor offers a maximum HDR brightness of 2,000 nits, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a flexible refresh rate of 47-120 Hz thanks to Adaptive Sync technology, and an adjustable tilt and height stand.
Apple equipped the Studio Display XDR with a 12 MP camera. Additional features include Center Stage (which tracks position, keeping the user's face centered in the frame) and Desk View (which simultaneously displays both the person and the desk in the frame).

The Studio Display XDR's connectivity ports include two Thunderbolt 5 ports and two standard USB-C ports, supporting charging for external devices at a maximum power of 140W when using a compatible cable.
The standard version of the Studio Display XDR comes with a tilt and height adjustable stand. Users can switch to a VESA mount depending on their workspace. This model is priced at 90 million VND (standard version) and 98 million VND (nano-coated screen).
The standard Studio Display is an upgrade from its predecessor, featuring a 12MP camera (with Center Stage and Desk View), a 6-speaker system, and 3 microphones. The Studio Display also has 2 Thunderbolt 5 ports and 2 USB-C ports, supporting up to 96W of charging.
The Studio Display comes with a tilt-adjustable stand by default. Users can switch to a stand that adjusts both tilt and height, or a VESA mount.
In Vietnam, the second-generation Studio Display is priced at 45 million VND for the standard version and 53 million VND for the nano-glass version. Users need to pay an additional 10 million VND for the version with an adjustable tilt and height stand.
