According to Marca , the Spanish team discovered there was no hot water in the dressing room area upon their arrival at Emirates Stadium. Despite reporting the problem to stadium staff, the situation was not resolved.
Atletico players were forced to leave the pitch without being able to shower after training – a move considered disrespectful and detrimental to the team's preparation. "The players had no choice but to return to the team hotel to shower. This is not the kind of treatment you would expect at this level," reported Marca .
