The folk-themed supernatural horror film "Ma Xó" (The Ghost) not only captivated audiences with its film quality, acting, and storyline, but its two OST songs also left viewers with a pang in their hearts.
The first song, "To My Child," composed by Avin Lu, the lead actor of "The Ghost," and performed by Alex Trann, was officially released by the producers on the evening of June 13th. Currently, the film "The Ghost" has grossed 106 billion VND (according to Box Office Vietnam at 10 PM).
Besides the story and spiritual atmosphere, the music in "The Ghost" is constructed as a parallel emotional layer, contributing to a clearer understanding of the characters' inner journey. Notably, the film's music not only comes from the professional team's compositions but also directly from the actors' own experiences participating in the project.

"To My Child" conveys the poignant feelings of a mother grieving for her child, whom she carried, gave birth to, and nurtured, who is growing frail and weak, unwilling to be separated from her by death. The song also features a loving and longing exchange between the child and the mother. The gentle, simple lyrics, like a mother's soft lullaby, touch the hearts of viewers who have just witnessed the tragedy in "The Ghost."
Actor Avin Lu shared: " Avin felt very emotional and overwhelmed when the film achieved 100 billion VND in revenue on the very day the film's OST was released. This joy was not only doubled but tripled when Avin received a series of good news after his birthday ."
Besides "To My Child," the film "Ma Xó" also features the song "Mother's Prayer," which delves into the emotions of a mother and the repentance of her child. This song was composed by musician Ssay Huỳnh, who was responsible for the film's second OST. The song is performed by singer Hiền Thục and will be released on June 16th.
"A Mother's Prayer" is built upon the spiritual elements of *The Haunted House*, particularly the incantations featured in the film. These elements are reinterpreted into a haunting musical structure, combining the rhythm of ritual with the emotions of a mother living in fear of losing her child. Simultaneously, the song also includes the son's repentance.
