Speaking about her exam "secrets," Tram Anh always adheres to three criteria: accuracy, completeness, and quality. The student explained: "First, accuracy. Although this year's exam was considered quite difficult and open-ended, I still took the time to carefully read the questions, underlining important keywords to accurately identify the requirements. No matter how well written, if it's not focused, it's very difficult to get a high score. Next, completeness. I always try to allocate my time wisely for each part of the exam, not getting too caught up in one question and neglecting the rest. Time management helps me complete all the requirements of the exam and gives me time to reread my paper before submitting."
According to this student, a high-scoring essay should not only be accurate and complete but also have its own unique style. Tram Anh tried to incorporate evocative imagery and expressions, appropriate connections, and literary theory into her writing to make her arguments more coherent and insightful.
"As a literature student, I've always believed that a persuasive essay isn't about using elaborate language, but about the sincere emotions the writer conveys logically and clearly, touching the reader's heart," Tram Anh shared.
In the future, Tram Anh hopes to study literature and language pedagogy, with the aim of continuing to nurture her passion for literature and becoming an inspiring teacher for her students.
