
The products participating in the OCOP classification assessment of the district are mainly yogurt, fresh milk, various types of milk cakes; ostrich ham... from the communes of Van Hoa, Tan Linh, Thai Hoa, Son Da, Yen Bai.
Products are reviewed and scored by the District's Professional Council based on the current OCOP Criteria, including factors of quality, packaging, traceability, community value and market development potential.
The evaluation showed that all products met the criteria to be recognized as OCOP products by the District People's Committee in 2025. Of these, 4 products participated in the re-evaluation (according to regulations, recognized products are valid for 36 months, after which they must be evaluated for re-recognition); the rest are products participating in the first evaluation.

According to Vice Chairman of Ba Vi District People's Committee Tran Quang Khuyen, the OCOP Program has played an important role in rural economic development, contributing to improving income and living standards of people in the district. In addition, the OCOP Program also promotes the effective implementation of the criteria "Economy and production organization" in new rural construction. Ba Vi District People's Committee has requested the subjects to continue to improve products, improve quality, focus on product design and packaging; People's Committees of communes promote propaganda about the meaning of the OCOP Program, support subjects to develop and promote products.
Previously, by the end of 2024, the entire Ba Vi district recognized 186 OCOP products, mainly dairy products, hill chicken, ostrich meat, vegetables, sweet potatoes, vermicelli and traditional medicine village products. After being recognized, the products all improved packaging, had their quality periodically inspected, and participated in trade promotion programs organized by the city and district.
