Ba Vi has added 32 more OCOP products.

According to the People's Committee of Ba Vi district, in implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in 2025, the district has evaluated and classified 32 products.

The products participating in the OCOP ranking assessment in the district mainly include yogurt, fresh milk, various types of milk cakes; ostrich sausage... from the communes of Van Hoa, Tan Linh, Thai Hoa, Son Da, and Yen Bai.

The products are reviewed and scored by the district's expert council based on the current OCOP criteria, including factors such as quality, packaging, traceability, community value, and market development potential.

The assessment shows that all products meet the criteria to be recognized as OCOP products by the District People's Committee in 2025. Of these, 4 products are undergoing re-evaluation (according to regulations, recognized products are valid for 36 months, after which they must be re-evaluated for re-recognition); the rest are products undergoing initial evaluation.

According to Tran Quang Khuyen, Vice Chairman of the Ba Vi District People's Committee, the OCOP program has played a crucial role in rural economic development, contributing to improving the income and living standards of people in the district. Furthermore, the OCOP program promotes the effective implementation of the "Economy and Production Organization" criterion in the construction of new rural areas. The Ba Vi District People's Committee has requested that businesses continue to improve their products, enhance quality, and focus on product design and packaging; and that the People's Committees of the communes strengthen propaganda about the significance of the OCOP program and support businesses in developing and promoting their products.

Previously, by the end of 2024, Ba Vi district had recognized 186 OCOP products, mainly dairy products, free-range chicken, ostrich meat, vegetables, sweet potatoes, vermicelli, and traditional herbal medicine products. After being recognized, the products all improved their packaging, underwent regular quality checks, and participated in trade promotion programs organized by the city and district.
