Recently, information about fake chicken eggs has been circulating on several social media platforms, causing confusion and anxiety among consumers and negatively impacting domestic poultry farming.
The Vietnam Poultry Association has sent a letter to the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, etc., refuting this information. The association stated that many poultry farmers are suffering losses as the purchase price of eggs at farms is lower than the production cost, only around 1,400-1,500 VND per egg.
Currently, the price of chicken eggs continues to fall sharply, down to only about 1,200-1,300 VND per egg. To date, there is no scientific evidence worldwide of the production of fake chicken eggs that resemble natural eggs. In fact, in Vietnam, neither in the past nor currently have fake chicken eggs been found circulating in the market.
Therefore, it can be affirmed that the information circulating on social media about the production of fake chicken eggs in the country is completely fabricated. In light of this situation, the Vietnam Poultry Association requests that relevant authorities investigate, verify, and severely punish those who have spread false information about fake chicken eggs.
