1. How to prepare dried longan pulp for medicinal use.
Dried longan pulp is made from the flesh of the longan fruit. The process involves picking the longan, discarding any cracked, red, or unripe fruits. The fresh, intact fruits are selected, tied together in bunches, and dipped in boiling water for a few minutes. They are then removed and dried in the sun during the day and in a dryer at night until the pulp is shriveled and, when shaken, produces a clean rattling sound. The pulp is then peeled off.
The pulp is then dried further at 50-60 degrees Celsius until it feels dry to the touch. It is then stored in jars or sealed tightly, or in plastic bags for preservation.
