While war tests the courage, unwavering will, and national spirit of soldiers, the business world hones the resilience and adaptability of veteran entrepreneurs. Over the years, members of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Association have consistently demonstrated solidarity on the economic front in peacetime.
Members of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Association have been active in production and business activities, while also providing support and encouragement to members facing difficulties on their entrepreneurial journey.
“When a member company produces bricks, another member's construction company will prioritize using their partner's products. When a business provides transportation services, trading and import/export businesses will trust them with their goods. This mechanism not only helps ensure stable, safe, and reliable input and output, creating jobs for members, but also contributes to minimizing risks and strengthening cohesion.” Mr. Lai Quoc Toan, Chairman of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Association |
Veteran and businessman Nguyen Tuan Khoat, Director of Tuan Son LS Trading Company Limited, shared: "In our youth, we together upheld the spirit of national pride to fight and protect the homeland. When the war ended, we were fortunate to survive and return home to continue fighting together against poverty and building and developing the economy. The spirit of camaraderie remains the same, only our 'weapons' now are capital, technology, and business strategy."
It is known that Tuan Son LS Trading Company Limited is currently one of the largest and most reputable suppliers of construction materials in the province. The company is providing employment for 15 workers, who are children of war veterans in the urban area of Lang Son and the communes of Hoang Van Thu and Cao Loc, with an average income of 9.5 million VND per person per month.
Not only do they create jobs for the children of veteran association members, but veteran entrepreneurs in the province also strengthen their linkages by using each other's products and services to develop together. This is a very effective mechanism that creates strength and demonstrates a valuable spirit of solidarity, thereby creating an efficient and sustainable value chain.
Mr. Lai Quoc Toan, Chairman of the Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs, shared: When a member's company produces bricks, another member's construction company will prioritize using their comrade's products. When a business provides transportation services, trading and import/export businesses will trust them with their goods. This mechanism not only helps ensure stable, safe, and reliable input and output, creating jobs for members, but also contributes to minimizing risks and strengthening cohesion.
Currently, within the Veteran Entrepreneurs Association, up to 80% of member businesses share and utilize each other's products and services to boost production and consumption. The foundation of trust built over years of shared experiences on the battlefield has created a highly collaborative business environment with a consistent principle of leaving no one behind, where the promises and integrity of each member hold absolute value.
The proud achievements of the Veteran Entrepreneurs Association lie not only in its 85 members but also in its positive and far-reaching impact on society. Currently, the association provides stable employment for nearly 2,000 workers in the province and surrounding areas, with an average monthly income of 8 million VND per person.
For veteran entrepreneurs, they are not only soldiers who completed their historical mission in wartime to defend the Fatherland, but also pioneers on the economic front in peacetime. Through this, veteran entrepreneurs are contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful Lang Son.
