The Vietnamese national team is in Group B of the AFF Cup 2024 along with Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos. AFF Cup 2024 Group Stage Format

The 10 teams participating in the AFF Cup 2024 (ASEAN Cup) are divided into 2 groups (5 teams per group) playing a single round-robin format to determine rankings. In case of a tie in points between two (or more) teams, the ranking will be determined by tie-breaking criteria in the following order of priority: goal difference, total goals scored, and head-to-head results (points, goal difference, total goals scored in direct head-to-head matches).

In the event of a tie in all the aforementioned criteria, the organizers will proceed with a penalty shootout (if the two teams with equal points meet in the final match to determine a semi-final spot) or a draw.
