Authorities and the Da Nang city government are proactively reviewing and inspecting the security situation, food safety, and hygiene to ensure that the National Day holiday on September 2nd takes place safely and in a civilized manner.

Strengthen inspections and ensure safety.

Each day, Son Tra Regional Health Center receives 800-1,100 outpatients for examination and provides inpatient treatment for approximately 280-300 patients.

In recent days, the unit has focused on reviewing and arranging emergency response teams; increasing reserves of medicines, blood, intravenous fluids, and necessary medical equipment and supplies to serve emergency care, examination, and treatment, especially for traffic accidents and food poisoning incidents.

According to Duong Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of Son Tra Regional Health Center, the center has been stepping up efforts to prevent food poisoning and closely monitoring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in Son Tra and An Hai wards before, during, and after the holiday.

The center coordinates with the city's Food Safety Management Board to implement activities for preventing, stopping, and resolving food poisoning incidents.

In addition, combine this with implementing food safety and hygiene measures such as paying attention to street food vendors, organizing food hygiene awareness campaigns, and taking samples of suspected and substandard food for testing…

Besides small, local markets, Da Nang has many large, well-known markets that attract a large number of tourists for sightseeing and shopping. Along with ensuring security, order, and fire safety, market management boards regularly remind traders and residents to maintain environmental hygiene and dispose of waste in designated areas.

At Han Market, approximately 4,000-5,000 visitors come each day; this number is expected to increase to 9,000-10,000 during holidays.

Recently, the Market Management Board has intensified inspections of fire safety and price listings. At the same time, they have coordinated efforts to ensure security and order, especially traffic order, so that the market area remains unobstructed.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Than, Deputy Director of the Public Service Supply Center of Hoa Cuong Ward, said that from August 9th to September 9th, the unit coordinated a campaign to handle violations such as occupying sidewalks and roads for business and trading, parking vehicles illegally; distributing leaflets, posting advertisements; placing tables, chairs, ovens, signs, and awnings in violation of regulations.

Strengthen measures to address illegal street vending that encroaches on alleyways, fails to ensure food safety and hygiene, and obstructs traffic; as well as street vendors, touting, begging, and disguised forms of begging on main roads.

In particular, the area around Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market has been a "hot spot" for urban order issues for many years. Before launching the intensified campaign, the forces organized awareness campaigns, distributed leaflets, explained the regulations, persuaded residents, and required households to sign commitments to comply.

During the campaign, the local authorities are determined to strictly handle all violations, without exception.

In Hai Chau ward, authorities have also intensified inspections and enforcement against violations such as encroachment on sidewalks and roads; street vending and mobile cart sales; soliciting and harassing tourists; and violations related to environmental sanitation and construction order.

Inspection efforts are focused on key roads and areas such as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, Nguyen Van Linh, Hung Vuong, etc., aiming to create a civilized, clean, and safe urban environment so that residents and tourists can enjoy themselves and shop with peace of mind during the National Day holiday on September 2nd.
