Strengthen inspection and ensure safety

Every day, Son Tra Regional Medical Center receives 800 - 1,100 patients for medical examination and inpatient treatment for about 280 - 300 patients.

In recent days, the unit has focused on reviewing and arranging emergency teams; increasing reserves of medicine, blood, infusion fluids and necessary medical equipment and facilities to serve emergency care, medical examination and treatment, especially emergency care for traffic accidents and food poisoning.

Deputy Director of Son Tra Regional Medical Center Duong Quoc Khanh said that recently, the center has stepped up food poisoning prevention and closely monitored compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in Son Tra and An Hai wards before, during and after the holidays.

The Center coordinates with the City Food Safety Management Board to implement activities to prevent, contain and overcome food poisoning incidents.

In addition, combine food safety work such as paying attention to street food, organizing food hygiene propaganda, taking samples of suspicious and poor quality food for testing...

In addition to small markets in residential areas, Da Nang has many large, famous markets that attract a large number of tourists to visit and shop. Along with ensuring security and order, fire prevention, market management boards regularly remind traders and residents to maintain environmental hygiene, collect and dispose of garbage in the right place.

At Han market, each day welcomes about 4,000 - 5,000 visitors; during holidays, it is expected to increase to 9,000 - 10,000 visitors.

Strengthen the handling of encroachment on alleyways, failure to ensure food safety and hygiene, traffic obstruction; street vending, soliciting customers, wandering and begging on main roads.

In particular, the area around Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market has been a “hot spot” for urban order for many years. Before the peak deployment, the force organized propaganda, distributed leaflets, explained, mobilized and asked households to sign a commitment to comply.

During the campaign, the locality resolutely and strictly handled all violations, without exception.

In Hai Chau ward, the authorities have also stepped up inspections and handling of acts of encroachment on sidewalks and roads; street vendors and mobile carts; soliciting and following tourists; and violations of environmental sanitation and construction order.

The inspection work focuses on key routes and areas such as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, Nguyen Van Linh, Hung Vuong, etc. to build a civilized, clean, and safe urban space so that people and tourists can rest assured to have fun and shop during the National Day holiday on September 2.
