A three-year journey of collecting "treasures"
"Treasure" was formed from a series of photo contests organized consecutively over three years by the District Party Committee, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son Tra District (now Son Tra Ward). Thousands of entries contributed to building a rich archive of materials, from which the organizers selected the best photos to compile into a comprehensive book with significant artistic and scientific value.

Each photograph in the book is a vivid snapshot of Son Tra. From the majestic natural landscapes covered in blooming crape myrtle flowers, the refreshing green breath of the ancient forest, the rhythm of the sea, to the wild moments of birds and insects, this harmonious combination brings emotional depth, touching the hearts of domestic readers and opening up opportunities for sharing with international friends.

It's no coincidence that Son Tra Peninsula was chosen as the soul of "Treasure." The peninsula has long been considered the "green lung" of Da Nang, a natural barrier protecting the city from disasters, and a home to hundreds of rare plant and animal species. In particular, it is home to the brown-footed langur – a primate known as the "queen of primates." Therefore, each page of the book carries a message reminding future generations of their responsibility to preserve this invaluable natural heritage.
From Son Tra, reaching far…
Sharing about the process, Mr. Hoang Son Tra, Chairman of the Son Tra Ward People's Committee, said: "We only wanted to bring the stunning images of the Son Tra peninsula to everyone. It is a treasure not only of Da Nang and Vietnam but also of the world ." According to him, the journey from launching the competition to publishing the book lasted three years, and is the result of collective effort and passion for nature.

In particular, "Treasure" is not the end but the beginning of many follow-up projects. Soon, Son Tra ward plans to publish the book " From Son Tra Sea to Tra Leng Mountain ," aiming to connect the beauty of the sea and mountains between the two sister localities. At the same time, the "Son Tra – Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter" project is also being developed, with the goal of depicting the scenery of Son Tra through the four seasons, expected to take three years to complete.

The creation of "Treasure" not only affirms the strength of the community in preserving and promoting the image of Da Nang, but also opens up a new direction: using art as a bridge and love of nature as a message to spread. With its artistic value and humanistic significance, the book deserves to be a meaningful spiritual gift for all those who love nature, love their country, and aspire to preserve nature's "treasures" for generations to come.
