This is one of the activities commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam-China Cultural Exchange Year 2025, especially on the occasion of the State visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam.
The 24th Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting, held from April 12-18, 2025, took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.
During their time in Vietnam, the Chinese youth delegation participated in many meaningful activities and experiences in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh provinces.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union, affirmed that the 2025 meeting program is of great significance, serving as proof in concretizing the results and high-level joint declarations, contributing to disseminating to the younger generation of both countries about the new developments in Vietnam-China relations; shouldering the responsibility of inheriting and continuously developing the "Deep Vietnam-China Friendship, both comrades and brothers" - a precious common asset of the two Parties, two countries, and two peoples, personally built by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zedong, and the pioneering leaders of the two countries.
During the meeting, young people from both countries interacted and reminisced about stories of friendship between the two Parties, the two States, and the people of the two countries.
Young people from both countries shared and learned about models of youth union work and youth movements in both countries; exchanged ideas on directions and specific content to jointly organize warm and close exchanges between the youth of the two countries. At the same time, they effectively utilized the "red legacy" of the revolutions of both countries to propagate and educate the younger generation, helping them to better understand the revolutionary journey of mutual assistance between Vietnam and China, so that the Vietnam-China friendship can be passed down through generations.
Mr. Tang Rui, Editor-in-Chief of China Youth Daily and Head of the Chinese Youth Delegation, believes that as long as the youth of both countries remain steadfast and strive together, they will surely overcome all challenges and make significant contributions to the modernization of each country as well as the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future.
Tang Yue believes that this is precisely the message that the theme of the Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting program aims to convey to everyone.
Immediately after the closing ceremony, delegates enjoyed a cultural exchange program between the youth of Vietnam and China. Through songs and performances, the youth of both countries expressed their national pride, deep love for their homeland, and conveyed and promoted the beauty of the culture, people, and nature of Vietnam and China.
Nguyen Si Don, a 10th-grade student from Ha Long Specialized High School, was honored to be one of the young people participating in the exchange program. He clearly felt the camaraderie and friendliness of the young people from the host country. Through this program, Nguyen Si Don had the opportunity to learn and further fuel his passion for learning Chinese better.
