This morning, June 16th, in Quang Tri town, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper held the closing ceremony of the Quang Tri Marathon 2024 - Journey to the Land of Fire.

Early this morning, June 16th, the Quang Tri Marathon - Journey to the Land of Fire officially kicked off.
For the 21km race, athletes start in Dong Ha City and finish in Quang Tri town. For the 5km and 10km races, athletes start and finish in Quang Tri town.
The maximum completion times for the 21km distance are 3 hours and 30 minutes; for the 10km distance, 1 hour and 40 minutes; and for the 5km distance, 1 hour and 15 minutes. Based on the current Athletics Laws and the regulations of the International Association of Marathon and Long Distance Runners (AIMS), the Organizing Committee selected the 7 best-performing male and female athletes in the 3 distances to award prizes, with a total cash prize of over 100 million VND along with gifts from sponsors.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to athletes Nguyen Trung Cuong and Nguyen Thi Oanh in the 21km men's and women's races; first prize to athletes Luong Duc Phuoc and Nguyen Khanh Ly in the 10km men's and women's races; first prize to athletes Le Van Thao and Dau Thi Nga in the 5km men's and women's races; and prizes to male and female athletes who won from second to seventh place in the three competition distances.
