Closing Ceremony of Quang Tri Marathon 2024

This morning, June 16, in Quang Tri town, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper organized the closing ceremony of the Quang Tri Marathon 2024 - Journey to the Land of Fire.

Early this morning, June 16, the Quang Tri Marathon - Journey to the Land of Fire officially started.

At the 21km distance, athletes started in Dong Ha city and finished in Quang Tri town. At the 5km and 10km distances, athletes started and finished in Quang Tri town.

The maximum completion time for the 21km distance is 3 hours 30 minutes; the 10km distance is 1 hour 40 minutes; the 5km distance is 1 hour 15 minutes. Based on the current Athletics Law, the regulations of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), the Organizing Committee selected 7 athletes with the best achievements for men and women in 3 distances to award prizes, with a total cash prize worth over 100 million VND and gifts from sponsors.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded first prizes to athletes Nguyen Trung Cuong and Nguyen Thi Oanh in the 21km distance for men and women; first prizes to athletes Luong Duc Phuoc and Nguyen Khanh Ly in the 10km distance for men and women; first prizes to athletes Le Van Thao and Dau Thi Nga in the 5km distance for men and women; and prizes to male and female athletes who won from second to seventh prizes in the 3 competition distances.
