The 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival, 2025, with the theme "Preserving and Promoting the Cultural Identity of the Muong Ethnic Group in the New Era," offers a space for the convergence of culture, art, cuisine, sports , and ethnic pride. The event aims to inspire new efforts in preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group in the era of integration.

At the closing ceremony, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives for their outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in the activities of the Festival: the delegation of Muong ethnic artisans and amateur performers from Hanoi; the delegation of Muong ethnic artisans and amateur performers from Phu Tho province; the delegation of Muong ethnic artisans and amateur performers from Lao Cai province; the delegation of Muong ethnic artisans and amateur performers from Son La province; the delegation of Muong ethnic artisans and amateur performers from Thanh Hoa province; the Office of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City; the Hanoi City Cultural and Library Center; and the People's Committee of Yen Bai commune, Hanoi City.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 40 prizes for cultural and artistic activities in 5 categories: Exhibition and promotion of local Muong ethnic traditional culture; performance and introduction of local Muong ethnic traditional crafts; performance and introduction of traditional crafts of the Muong ethnic group; folk art festival and Muong ethnic costume performance; performance and introduction of excerpts from festivals and traditional cultural rituals of the Muong ethnic group.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Director of the Department of Ethnic Cultures of Vietnam (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), emphasized: “The highlight of the series of events for the Week of National Unity - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage 2025 is the 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival with many meaningful activities in spreading Muong ethnic culture. The results of the Festival are recognized through awards for outstanding collectives and artisans demonstrated over the past few days. However, the Organizing Committee would like to emphasize that the awards are only symbolic; more important is the joint effort of everyone in preserving and promoting Muong ethnic culture in particular and ethnic cultural values in general.”
After three days of vibrant activities with diverse content, from introducing cultural spaces and showcasing traditional crafts to unique artistic programs, the festival contributed to honoring the cultural identity of the Muong people and spreading solidarity and close ties among ethnic groups.
