According to the leaders of Trang Son commune, over the past week, the power lines running through the commune have frequently malfunctioned, causing sudden power outages that last for hours.
Representatives from Nghe An Power Company stated that they are investigating the cause of the power outage in Trang Son commune this morning. However, due to the intense heat, electricity consumption in the area has increased dramatically. At times, power lines are overloaded, causing sudden power outages that the power company cannot notify residents in advance.
"The power company will notify residents in advance that planned power outages for maintenance are permitted. Even in cases of temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius, the power sector will not cut off electricity as planned. Power outages will only occur in cases of line failures or grid collapse," a representative from Nghe An Power Company stated.
Over the past week, Nghe An, as well as other provinces in the North and Central regions, has experienced a heatwave with maximum temperatures commonly reaching 36-39 degrees Celsius, and in some places exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. Electricity demand has increased significantly, but due to limited supply, power outages have occurred in many areas.
